## What is סמס לרב?

מכון הלכה חב"ד הוא מכון שנותן מענה למגוון צרכים הלכתיים עבור חסידי וקהילות חב"ד בארץ ישראל וברחבי העולם. מטרת המכון היא להנגיש את עולם ההלכה לציבור הרחב, תוך זמינות מרבית וחידוד נושאים שונים בהלכה הזקוקים לתיקון ושימת לב. המכון נוסד בשנת תשע"ו, ביוזמת מספר רבנים וכיום פועלים בו למעלה מחמישים רבנים ומורי הוראה חב"דיים.

עם התפתחות הטכנולוגיה ושיפור אמצעי התקשורת, נוצרו אפשרויות ואמצעים חדשים לבירורי שאלות הלכתיות, בהם האפשרות לקבל מענה תוך זמן קצר על שאלות שמתעוררות תוך כדי חיי היום יום. מודלים של רבנים שונים שעונים תשובות דרך מסרונים, העלה את הצורך שגם בציבור החב"די יהיה גוף מקצועי שייתן מענה מהיר ותמציתי לשאלות הציבור, תוך דגש על פסיקה לפי המקובל אצל חסידי חב"ד ובתוספת מנהגי והנהגות חב"ד.

בחודש אדר ראשון תשע"ו עלתה היוזמה לאוויר בשם "SMS לרב", ותוך שבועות ספורים הופנו למוקד אלפי שאלות הלכתיות. עם הצלחת יוזמת המסרונים, התרחב השירות גם למוקד טלפוני שמאויש במשך על שעות היום על ידי רבנים, במשמרות. אלפי השאלות שהגיעו למערכת בכתב ובעל פה, העשירו את המכון בידע הלכתי עצום וניסיון רב בתחום מענק שירותים הלכתיים. עקב כך החל המכון להפיק הוצאות לאור בהלכה; פרסומים יומיים, מדריכים, קורסים הלכתיים ועוד
