Электронное приложение содержит рекомендации по этапам ведения больных детей в стационаре: экстренной сортировочной оценке, методике обследования детей, лабораторным исследованиям, поддерживающему уходу и мониторингу, выписке и последующим наблюдением.

Данное электронное приложение позволит пользоваться рекомендациями в режиме офлайн. Кроме того, оно располагает следующими удобными для пользователя функциями: интерактивные ссылки, поиск, возможность просмотра иллюстраций в полном размере, а также использование формул для расчёта дозировок лекарственных препаратов (вместо таблиц, используемых в печатной версии руководства).

Это электронное приложение было разработано  Европейским региональным бюро Всемирной организации здравоохранения в сотрудничестве с IT специалистом Michel Englert.


The WHO e-Pocketbook provides clinical guidelines for children requiring hospital care.

Designed for doctors, nurses and other health workers responsible for the care of children, these guidelines focus on the management of major causes of childhood mortality, including:

•Neonatal illness, including low birth weight, prematurity, sepsis, perinatal asphyxia, and congenital anomalies 
•Pneumonia and other breathing problems, including bronchiolitis, asthma and tuberculosis
•Diarrhea, acute and chronic
•Fever, including malaria, meningitis, septicemia and rheumatic fever
•Severe acute malnutrition
•HIV/AIDS
•Surgical problems, including trauma and burns

The app includes guidance on the stages of management for every child: Triage and Emergency treatment, History and Examination, Laboratory investigations, Supportive care and Monitoring, Discharge planning and Follow-up.

With this app, all guidelines can be viewed offline. The app contains some user friendly features like interactive links, search function, possibility for viewing illustrations in full size by tapping, and formulas for medication dosage (instead of tables used in the printed version of the guidelines).

This app has been developed by the World Health Organization Regional Office for Europe in collaboration with IT expert Mr. Michel Englert.
