## What is 敏思学堂?

“敏思学堂”是一个极富内涵的名字，取自“敏而好学，笃思明辨”。“敏”，出自《论语·公冶长》第五篇：子贡问曰：“孔文子何以谓之‘文’也？”子曰：“敏而好学，不耻下问，是以谓之‘文’也。”寓意聪敏勤勉而谦虚好学；“思”，出自《礼记·中庸》十九章云：“博学之，审问之，慎思之，明辨之，笃行之。”寓意深深地思考，明确地分辨。

敏思学堂借鉴儒家文化中的哲学思想，坚持人文精神和科学精神的完美统一，知与行的统一，为人与为学的统一。以“敏而好学，笃思明辨”为指导理念，寄托着敏思学堂对每一位初中学子的殷切期望：聪敏勤勉、谦虚好学、不耻下问、明思善辩、快乐学习、茁壮成长。
