## What is 小易英语听写(中小学生版)?

Turn your own English learning material into dictation, review and listening practice.

TingXieXie helps learners practise independently. Create a word list from a textbook, workbook or personal vocabulary list, then listen, type what you hear and see clear feedback straight away.

CREATE YOUR OWN LEARNING CONTENT

- Enter English and Chinese manually.
- Paste multiple lines and organise them before saving.
- Capture text with the camera or choose a photo. Text recognition is performed on device using Apple Vision; the source image is not uploaded.
- Receive a supported dictation task by QR code and save it as an on-device word-list unit.

PRACTISE DICTATION

- Play each word or sentence, type your answer and submit it when ready.
- See correct and incorrect answers immediately.
- Review the words that need more work instead of repeating everything.
- Continue with card memory, English–Chinese matching, spelling recall or intensive listening when the content is suitable.

LISTEN AND FOLLOW READ

- Practise daily conversations, scenario-based material and listening exercises.
- Use Blind Listening, Follow Reading and Review as a clear three-stage learning path.
- Long-sentence practice waits across natural pauses before judging the result.
- Explicitly enable background playback when you want to keep listening away from the app.

SPEECH OPTIONS

Standard Speech uses an installed device voice. Pro members can explicitly select High-Quality Natural Speech for supported English practice. If cloud synthesis cannot be completed, the app offers a clear fallback to Standard Speech.

YOUR DATA

No sign-in is required. Word lists and practice history are stored on the device. Camera text recognition runs on device. Optional anonymous usage statistics can be disabled in Settings and do not contain word-list content, recognition transcripts, recordings or photos.

Subscriptions and the lifetime purchase are optional. Payment is charged to the Apple ID after confirmation. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel subscriptions in Apple ID subscription settings. Restore Purchases is available in the app.

Version 7.0.8 is a major learning-experience update:

- Redesigned dictation home, word lists, practice and completion screens for clearer navigation and better small-screen use.
- Create learning content from the camera, photo library, pasted text or a QR task, then save received tasks as on-device word-list units.
- Improved dictation playback, typed correction, skipping, per-item results and review of words that need more work.
- Listening now brings together daily conversations, scenario learning and listening training, with blind listening, follow reading, review and background playback.
- Improved long-sentence intensive listening and follow-reading recognition so natural pauses are not judged too early.
- Card memory now practises both English-to-Chinese and Chinese-to-English directions, with improvements to matching, spelling and review.

Existing on-device word lists and practice history remain available after the update. This release also includes stability, accessibility and usability fixes.

### 7.0.7 — 2026-07-23

This update improves first-use experience, stability and training screens:

• The first-use sample now uses High-Quality Natural Speech by default and can continue to Listening mode when completed.
• Fixed crashes that could occur when opening some legacy textbook units or starting audio practice on older iPads.
• Improved layouts for dictation, spelling recall, follow reading, card memory and English-Chinese matching on small screens and iPad.
• Improved American/British voice switching in review dictation and spoken-number recognition.
• Removed the Audio Word Choice entry while preserving existing practice history.
• Additional accessibility, performance and stability improvements.

### 7.0.6 — 2026-07-22

This update makes dictation and listening work together more smoothly.

- A clearer listening entry makes it easier to switch between dictation and listening.
- The first-time sample now starts immediately with Standard Speech, without an extra voice-selection step.
- After a fully correct normal dictation, you can continue directly to listening practice; if review words remain, focused review keeps priority.
- Improved small-screen and iPad layouts, VoiceOver, Dynamic Type, Reduce Motion and stability.

- Pro High-Quality Natural Speech provides a more natural cloud voice; Standard Speech continues to use the on-device voice.

Learning content and per-word results remain stored on the device by default. This release also includes stability and usability fixes.
