انطلاقاً من سعي الحكومة لتطبيق مبدأ الشفافية والمصداقية في التعامل مع جميع استفسارات وآراء المواطنين، وبسبب بلوغ مستوى تداول الإشاعة عبر وسائل التواصل الاجتماعي مؤخراً درجة غير مسبوقة، إما بصورة منظمة أو بصورة عشوائية، وصلت إلى اغتيال سمعة الأشخاص أو نشر فيديوهات وصور مفبركة، وأخبار مغلوطة قد تعمل على تشويه صورة المؤسسات الرسمية والخاصة، كما وصلت إلى مرحلة المبادرة ببث الإشاعة، مما يدل على وجود حملات منظمة تستهدف وسائل التواصل الاجتماعي في الأردن.
