## What is الميزان?

البوابة القانونية القطرية ( الميزان ) موقع شامل يشمل كافة التشريعات السارية والمعدلة والملغاة منذ 1961 م ، والأحكام القضائية الصادرة من محكمة التمييز والتي قام المكتب الفني للمجلس الأعلى للقضاء بتبويبها وفهرستها واستخراج المبادئ القانونية منها، ومبادئ الفتاوى القانونية الصادرة من إدارة الفتوى والعقود سابقاً بوزارة العدل إلى جانب المراجع الفقهية القانونية. يُدار الموقع بأساليب ووسائل علمية ومهنية متجددة يقوم بها كوادر بشرية مؤهلة ومتميزة قائمة على المهنية في أفضل سبلها وقادرة على مواكبة الفوران التكنولوجي الذي لا يهدأ متسلحة بأفضل الخبرات العالمية، وقد تم فيها استخدام أحدث الوسائل التقنية الحديثة مما يجعل شبكة المعلومات القانونية القطرية ( الميزان ) نموذجاً فريداً سواء في التقنية  المستخدمة أم في منهجية عرض المعلومات القانونية وآلية البحث فيها.



Qatari Legal Portal (Al-Meezan) is a comprehensive website  that encompasses, inter alia: First, all in force, amended and abrogated legislations since 1961 A.D; second, the judicial judgments- issued by the Court of Cassation which the Technical Office of Supreme Council of the Judiciary has classified, indexed and concluded the legal principles from them; third the legal fatwa principles issued by the Department of Fatwa and Contracts (a previous department of the Ministry of Justice); last,  it involves legal scholarly references. The website is managed using renewed, scientific, professional and techniques. Moreover,  It is conducted by qualified, distinguished staffs that rely on the highest level of professionalism, and equipped with the best international experiences, which enable them to cope with the rapid and unstoppable technological development. Al Meezan is managed by the best modern technical methods, making it a unique model, whether in terms of the technology used or in the presentation methodology of the legal information as well as the mechanism of searching thereon

### 1/5 — No language selection, it only in Arabic

It’s mentioned that there is English on the app preview/ title description, however there is no such option and all is is Arabic which results in not having the chance to get benefit from this good app being a non Arabic speaker. Since Qatar is having multinational residents I believe it would be great to have one or more language option in this kind of apps. Thank you
