本起名软件分为自选起名和智能起名两种模式。
1:自选起名：为默认模式。关闭右上方的智能起名开关即可进入自选起名状态，此时您需要去设置单复姓、单复名开关以决定全名的格式，本程序支持4个字之内的中、日文汉字起名。而后您可通过点击白色选字框来直接输入您想测试的名字。当所有字位输入完成时五格吉凶的结果会自动生成。请根据它以及单字五行来综合判断起名是否满足您的需求。

2:智能起名：您可以通过点击右上方的智能起名开关或直接向左横滑整个选字面板（白色），来进入智能起名筛选界面。于此界面下选中任何筛选条件后向右横滑筛选面板，或点击红色的返回箭头即可返回选字界面，此时已进入智能起名模式。您可以看到姓名或五行文本框变为彩色的筛选位按钮。点击上方的五行筛选按钮以筛选每个字的五行。然后点击各字位的选字按钮，此时智能算法将过滤并找出所有满足您所设定的目标格局的候选字，并从下方跳出对应字组。您可以将他们按照拼音或笔画顺序排列，然后点击选择中意的汉字用在当前字位上。当所有字位都完成选字后您便可以得出符合您要求的起名了！
