故事发生在40多年前的一个普普通通的农家小院中。小院的门前是条河，院子后面是座山，院子里种着一亩三分田，一对勤劳的年轻夫妇，过着自给自足的平淡生活，虽然谈不上富裕，但也过的自在满足。

一天，他们生下了一个女儿，从此他们的生活开始改变…… 爸爸负责种地，妈妈在厨房做饭，而他们的女儿在小院快乐的玩耍，小猫小狗在一旁陪伴着，一家人其乐融融……

游戏以一家三代人，外婆、外公、妈妈和女儿的成长为主线，围绕着小院的日常经营而展开。
