外国人のパスポートや在留カードを民間人が確認することは国際的合法です。しかし偽造カードが横行し無意味になってきたので、このアプリは有能です。
不法滞在者の生活を支援したり雇用したりすることは犯罪者幇助であり、犯罪です。あと差別とか言ってるファシストがいるけど、日本も身分証は必要だし、平等なのでデマは広げないで下さい

仮に自分が海外旅行でも働きにでも行ったとして、現地の人が誰でもこのアプリをダウンロードできて、そして実際にこのアプリを持ってるのを確認できたら嫌な気分になりすね。冗談でも「元気？外人さん(ジャパニーズ)」ってアプリ見せられながら話しかけられたら相当不快です。
雇用主や入管手続きの専門家、警察官等、限られた人のみにするべきです。

外国人の方が書いてあるような使い方はしないと思います。雇用主しか使えないようにと思うなら、初期設定時に法人番号なり個人事業主ならマイナンバーなりを登録しないと使えないようにすればいいのでは？
それなら入管も知らずに偽造カードで不法滞在者を雇用しているかを防げるのではないかと思います。

The app functions as promised but poses the potential for violations of human decency and privacy. Screenshots can be taken of the card once scanned and any layman off the street can have access to private government information about someone other than themselves. Developer, do better. App Store, I know your guidelines. This is still unacceptable.

このシステムでデータの読み込みをした在留カードについて、偽造カードを判定できるのか疑問です。
正常な在留カードを読み取りましたと表示され、内容も券面と変わりませんでしたが、失効情報で確認が出来ずパスポートでビザを確認したところ偽造と分かりました。
何のための判定なのか分かりません。

アクセスできるようなアプリであればいいアプリだと思います。　誰にでも手が届くアプリストアで外国人だけをターゲットにした在留カードを用いた照会アプリはあってはならないと思います。相当恐ろしいアプリです。

万が一、違法滞在者を雇ってしまったら会社もた大変です。このアプリで確認して自己防衛するしかないですね。

なお、違法滞在者を通報すれば〜5万円程の報奨金がもらえるそうです。

合法的に働いてる外国人を守る為にも、違法滞在者は通報しましょう。

在留カードが本物か偽造か調べる物であって、人権侵害にはならないと思います。カードに記載された事が本物か見るためです。
雇う側の責任でもあると思います。
持っていれば本物ではありません。
あと、読み取らないな？
と思った時には、磁気等の上でやってないか確認してみてください。
私も机が磁気で分からず読み取れなくてダメアプリかと思いましたが、磁気が無いところですぐ読み取れました。ご参考までに。

Most of the negative comments must be from people with fake residence cards hence the outcry because it will be harder for them to use fakes.

In order for this app to work you need to pass your card to another person eg employer/ hotel which would take a scan / copy of the card regardless of this app’s existence. It changes nothing in regards to copying as it would have been done otherwise. Solution: don’t give your card to anyone. Also some stranger needs to see the card and enter the number to even access it aka you give it to the .

The app only reads what is already visually visible on the card. So nothing new here.

The only thing it does it verifies if it’s a fake
Or not.

Monitoring every foreigner - what do you think immigration bureau does? 

My question is : what is the security for potential hacker attacks to the databases, did this app open new pathways? The databases are there regardless of this app existence but a potential pathway may have been made

I’m Japanese and my wife is a foreigner. I thought that many foreigners made bad reviews, however, the app gets the residence card on both sides informations from the ic chip with Japanese immigration digital certificate.  And its purpose is to check an illegal worker (by the employer, etc). For it must have been needing a serial number on a card. Therefore, if anyone doesn't know that serial numbers, never work. 私は日本人で、妻は外国人です。 多くの外国人が悪い評価をしたと思いましたが、アプリは入管のデジタル証明書付きICチップから在留カードの両面情報を取得します。 そしてその目的は（雇用主などによる）違法な労働者をチェックすることです。 動作には、在留カードの固有番号が必要なので、誰かがその固有番号を知らない場合は、アプリは機能しません。

民族、宗教の差別に当たると書いてる人がいますが、ニュースで話題になる程、偽造の在留カードを所有している人も多くなっています。
カードの真偽が判るのは必要では？
これだけ外国の方が増えると雇用主とかは、採用時に有ればちゃんとした資格を持った人かどうか確認できて、コンプライアンス的には必要でしょう。

技能実習生だけでなく、外国人労働者も増えている今、不法滞在者を雇用すると、在留カードが偽造だったとしても有無を言わさず会社も罰則を受けてしまいます。 自己防衛の観点からも、外国人労働者と関わる企業の担当者には必須のアプリです。 なお、偽造在留カードと判明して、入管に通報すれば、入管法66条に基づき、五万円のお小遣いももらえます。
