- جمعَ ودمجَ أحاديث الصحيحين (صحيح البخاري ومسلم) ومفردات كل واحد منهما، في مجلد واحد، بمجموع ٢٩٧٠ حديثًا في ٩٨٤ صفحة، مع الاختصار حيث اشتمل على جل أحاديثهما المسندة، مع حذف المكرر منها ومن ألفاظها، حيث تم اختصار الشواهد، وحذف الأسانيد، مع الاكتفاء باللفظ الذي يغني عن غيره، إلا أن يكون في غيره مزيد فائدة.

- مع ترتيبه من حيث الناسخ والمنسوخ، والمطلق والمقيد، والعام على الخاص، والأمر على صارفه عن الوجوب، والنهي على صارفه عن التحريم، وزيادات الروايات، حتى لا يفوت منها شيء ما أمكن.

- ولا يذكر في أحاديث هذا المختصر إلا ما كان مسندًا من الأحاديث والآثار سواء كانت مرفوعة أو موقوفة.

- ويتميز "جامع الصحيحين" بجمعه للزيادات والروايات التي يفسر بعضها بعضًا في سياق واحد، وجمعه للقصص التي قد تتشابه وجعلها في سياق واحد حتى لا تختلط على القارئ.
 
- ويتميز "جامع الصحيحين" بأنه مرتب في كتبه وأبوابه، فهو مرتب في كتبه الفقهية وفق منهج وطريقة فقهية متتابعة بحيث لو أراد الفقيه أن يجعل الأبواب بمثابة المسائل لاستقام معه الكتاب فقهيًّا ولو نظر إلى ترتيبه تاريخيًّا في المغازي والسير لوجده مرتبًا تاريخيًّا حسب الوقائع وهكذا في كتب الآداب.
