ومما ذكره بعض الصالحين في الحث على لزوم ورد من القرآن قوله: ينبغي أن يكون لك أيها المسلم ورد من تلاوة الكتاب العزيز، تداوم على قراءته في كل يوم وليلة، وأدنى ذلك أن تقتصر على جزء، فيكون لك ختمة كل شهر، أو أعلى من ذلك؛ أن تختم في كل ثلاثة أيام.  وأن لقراءة القرآن فضلاً عظيماً، وأثراً في تنوير القلب كبيراً. قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: "أفضل عبادة أمتي قراءة القرآن".
