You get to strum of tap the notes as they come towards the pick ups and you can even play with your friends on the other cool instruments in the range. Yes, they have in-app purchases, which I am not generally a fan of, but they are clearly displayed in the iTunes store so we were prepared. There are things to play without buying the in-apps, my son likes free play on all of their apps the best anyway.
