黄大仙信仰于清末在广东急速冒起,在短短的两年间就得享祀祠,相传是因为他能够箕传妙药,医疗瘤疾,《惊迷梦》书中也多次提及有关黄大仙的奇妙【圣迹】,信众以求签的方法,间接得到黄大仙示方,信众相信这套药方有神力,只要诚心祈求,可以治疗百病,深得善信的信赖,沿用至今。
