▣ 박완서 소설전집이란?
생전에 박완서 작가가 직접 손봐온 유작 원고를 묶은 세트 『박완서 소설전집 결정판』. 2011년 10월 20일 작가의 팔순에 맞춰 출간할 예정이었던 기획으로, 원고를 다듬어나가던 작가가 담낭암으로 타계한 뒤 함께해온 기획위원들과 작가의 후손들이 이어받아 원고를 다듬어 펴냈다.
작가의 등단작 《나목》, 작가의 유년 시절부터 청년 시절까지를 그린 자전소설 《그 많던 싱아는 누가 다 먹었을까》, 《그 산이 정말 거기 있었을까》를 비롯하여 최근 장편소설 《그 남자네집》 등이 포함되어 있으며, 작가의 유일한 연작소설 《엄마의 말뚝》도 만날 수 있다. 80년 동안 쌓아온 삶의 언어들이 담겨 있어 박완서의 작품 세계를 순서대로 짚어보기에 좋다.
