流言侦探算是聊天类解谜探案游戏的先行者了。好多年前就玩过第一章，重新下载后发现购买记录都无法恢复了。不过念在年代久远可以理解。比较失望的是第二章和番外篇非但没有改良反而退步了。玩家的选择越发无关痛痒，隐藏线索的逻辑性也很差，甚至官方自己也在自嘲。这类游戏目前为止做的最好的还是国外的，可以说是少有的，国人先做出概念却被国外改良的案例（大多情况下都是反过来）。
