Umm Tisa — the authentic Arabian mill game, in a clean modern design.

One of the oldest board games in the world, played for centuries across the Arabian Peninsula on engraved stones, drawn into the desert sand, and scratched onto the lids of wooden chests. Today it arrives on your iPhone with a design that respects the heritage and feels right at home in 2026.

 HOW TO PLAY
Each player has nine pieces. The game unfolds in three phases:
• Placement — drop your nine pieces on the board.
• Movement — slide pieces along the lines to adjacent empty spots.
• Flying — when you have only three pieces left, you can jump anywhere.

Form a mill (three of your pieces in a row along any of the 16 lines) to capture one of your opponent's pieces — but you cannot take a piece that's already part of an enemy mill, unless every opponent piece is.

Win by reducing your opponent below three pieces, or by trapping them with no legal move.

• Online play: fixed an issue where quitting a match could count as a win — resigning now correctly counts as a loss, and finished matches can no longer be scored twice
• Online play: fixed matches sometimes opening with an empty board, and improved connection reliability in live matches
• Smarter AI: fixed a search bug so Medium, Hard, and Expert now choose their captures more accurately
• Daily Puzzle: added VoiceOver support and fixed streak timing around midnight
• Sound effects no longer interrupt your music or podcasts
• Fixed piece highlight animations that could stop moving
• Improved Arabic text and accessibility labels throughout

What's new in 1.1.3

• New game rule option: Flying — by tradition, a player down to their last 3 pieces may fly to any empty spot. Prefer the stricter game? You can now turn Flying off in Settings → Game Rules, and 3-piece players will keep sliding to adjacent spots only.

• The option applies to new local games (vs AI and pass-and-play). Online matches always use standard rules so both players compete on equal terms.

What's new in 1.1.2

• Fixed online turn-based games getting stuck — if your opponent left, declined, or timed out, your move could fail to send and the turn never moved on. The game now ends correctly and awards you the win when an opponent abandons the match.

• Clearer status when an opponent hasn't joined yet, with a one-tap Retry.

• More reliable turn submission overall.

What's new in 1.1.1

• Online turn-based fixes — your placement now reliably reaches your opponent. Mill captures send as a single move so the board no longer gets stuck mid-turn on the other side.

• "Move didn't send" banner — if a turn ever fails to upload, you'll see a Retry button right above the board instead of an endless "waiting for opponent" wait.

• Daily Puzzle — a fresh "form a mill in one move" challenge every day. Build your daily streak.

• Game Analysis — review any finished game move-by-move. Scrub the timeline, see the evaluation graph, and jump straight to the blunders. Your last 10 games are saved automatically.

• Online matches, redone — a new in-app list of your turn-based games. See whose turn it is at a glance, start a new game with one tap, and resign cleanly when you need to. Fixes the issue where picking a match in the previous version didn't open the game.

• Recent Games card in Stats — tap any game to replay it.

Plus localization polish and bug fixes throughout.
