## What is 猫耳ビューアー?

NekomimiViewer is a media viewer built for browsing deep image, video, and PDF libraries exactly as they are organized on disk. Point it at a local folder or a NAS (SMB share) you choose, and it becomes your media library—no import, no upload.

- Fast browsing of deeply nested libraries
  Even huge folder trees scroll smoothly in grid view. Deep chains of sparse folders are automatically flattened into a single readable view.

- Direct NAS (SMB) connection
  Add your NAS and stream videos and PDFs straight from it—no need to download entire files to your device first.

- Images, video, PDF, and audio in one app
  The built-in viewer handles a wide range of video formats including MKV and AVI (FFmpeg bundled), two-page spread PDF reading, and thumbnail grids for images.

- Mini player for watching while you browse
  Keep a video or track playing in a small window while you explore the library. Playback continues in the background, with repeat, shuffle, and lock screen controls.

- Works as a music library
  Audio tags (title, artist, album art) are read automatically. Switch to the music list view to sort by track number or tag.

- Downloads for offline viewing
  Save files from your NAS to the device and view them offline. Interrupted transfers resume where they left off.

- Automatic thumbnails
  Generated and cached entirely on your device—first frame for video, first page for PDF.

- Full-text search (file name and path)
  Fast search across the whole library. Folder paths can optionally be included in the search.

- Favorites, star ratings, and history
  Mark the files you open often and jump straight back to them from your history.

- Tuned per folder
  Grid, list, and music list view modes are remembered per folder. Rename roots for display, and act on items from the long-press menu.

- Fixed XMP sidecar writing being skipped unless the Settings screen had been opened
- Fixed the browsing history limit not always being applied
