User reviews

One of those apps that simply make you smile

It’ll want you to fall in love with the foldable form factor and most importantly brings us back to an era when apps weren’t all serious business but also were fun!

Really cool, but could be better

This is a fun app for playing music in a nostalgic fashion. I love the aesthetic, the sound effects, the way the tape spools over as it plays. It even has realistic “music search”!

One thing that ruins the experience for me though: album sides - they were an essential component of playing music on tapes. I would always grab a tape out of my box and play a side, then usually grab another tape to listen to another side.

One way to incorporate “sides” into this player would be to recognize album “discs”. In iTunes you can define sections of an album as being on disc1, disc2, etc. I have most of my personal library delineated this way. Then if the app could shuffle between albums “discs” I would be in heaven!

Promising!

The UI needs a little more finesse, the app needs a dedicated locksceen widget or page to make it look functional like a walkman.
A cool concept, wishing you guys all the very best.
