The app requires users to send a verification code from their own phone number to complete verification. Unfortunately, I’m currently in China and cannot send an SMS from my Singapore number. I contacted customer support, but instead of offering an alternative, they told me I had to call them for verification. Since I’m overseas, that’s not possible either. The verification process is unnecessarily complicated and not designed with overseas users in mind. There should be alternative verification methods, such as email or in-app verification, instead of forcing users to send SMS or make international calls. Overall, it’s a frustrating and inconvenient experience.
