That was probably never the intent, hence why I also avoid them. Just one day before, I purchased ¥4,500 ($29.99) in points and a ¥18,000 ($119.99) paid membership plan. Despite this, there has been no refund or response. I’ve lived in Japan for 13 years and have been a long-time Tapple user as a foreign resident. However, I’ve often felt disadvantaged in how the app operates or reviews my account because of my foreign status. This latest action feels like either a system failure or outright discrimination against foreigners. Suspending my account right after charging money, with no explanation or refund, is deeply dishonest. At the least allow free users a limit of either how many new messages per day can be sent, or how many messages in total per day. Literally download the app, spend lord knows how long setting everything up just for it to be a gated window shopping experience... I can understand the reasoning for gating it like this but the execution is garbage.
