## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Very poor

*2017-04-17*

I can't evan search the obituary. Very poor.

### 1/5 — Isj app

*2015-08-24*

Nothing but internet adds no local adds.No comics, dear Abby, or editorials, or I am lost on navigation. Seems as half of daily content missing. What happened to e edition copy of all pages.

### 1/5 — Undo the update

*2015-08-23*

I would use this app daily. Now I just deleted it from my phone. It asks you to log in to read headlines. I'm not interested in creating an account. I'll get my local news somewhere else.

### 1/5 — It all went downhill

*2015-07-30*

This app was great, I used it all the time to keep up on local news. But, with the most recent update, it makes you log in and create a username and password just to read stories. I won't even bother using it from now on. I don't think that I should have to verify my identity just to browse the news.

### 1/5 — Review

*2014-07-09*

The journal app is never updated. The reporters do not report facts, reporters do not check facts before they write articles. I realize do not pay for the ISJ, these are very few of my many reasons why.
The obituaries are horrible. The Idaho Statesman is a great paper, reports news. News from surrounding states as well, Idaho specifically. Pictures with obituaries.
In closing, Pocatello should be ashamed that it calls the Idaho state journal it's paper. (Notice I didn't cap)

### 1/5 — Worthless

*2013-11-04*

Only the headlines and short descriptions are in the app, in order to read a full article you have to leave the app and search for the full story online. Absolutely worthless app.

### 1/5 — Hate it

*2013-08-18*

Doesn't let you read the full article

### 1/5 — ...

*2013-06-15*

Why post a story if you can't see the whole thing and have to be a member to view the full details

### 1/5 — Nice Idea — Poor Implementation

*2012-04-02*

Stories often have no text.
Obituaries almost never display on the weekend.

### 2/5 — Not enough info

*2013-06-29*

They make it now to pay, it was good but now I use channel 8 app. Seems to have more

## Most praised reviews (8 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Nice

*2011-12-16*

I liked it.

### 4/5 — Great way to catch up on the headlines

*2017-01-31*

This app is great for keeping up with the headlines and drilling down to particularly interesting stories. The only change I'd make would be to add categories - National News, Local News, Sports, Opinion, etc.

### 4/5 — Keeps me informed

*2014-09-12*

Like that I have info up to date

### 4/5 — ISJ

*2013-09-30*

Really convenient.

### 4/5 — ISJ Review

*2013-07-11*

This site gives me breaking news on car crashes, tornado warnings, and power outages. I don't have to wait for the TV news to understand what is going on.

### 4/5 — Useful... just a little limited

*2012-03-31*

First of all, very nice interface. Easy to use and find the content you want. If you're looking for an app that presents relevant local news, you'll like this. If you're looking for an all-digital mobile version of the Journal, this isn't quite it. Not all stories make it onto the app. the ones that do, however, are presented very well. I do hope that supported stories are expanded in the future. Do try this though. Very well done.

### 2/5 — Images very low resolution, no support for newsstand.

*2011-10-23*

Downloaded and used app for 10 min. The images are horrible.

### 2/5 — Big fan of the Idaho State Journal, but not of this app.

*2011-09-04*

Was excited about this app until I actually used it. The interface is slick and responsive, but the content is abysmal. For each category, the app offers just a small handful (10 or so) of seemingly randomly selected stories, most of which are outdated (i.e. a random story about the state baseball tournament from last May when I viewing the app in September, or lottery numbers from February 2010). There's no way to search for current content from the journal, so this app is all but useless in its current state.

I'll be continuing to just use the journal website from my iPhone for now, as this app is not ready for primetime.
