This is not great, but it’s pretty good. It’s strange that you can’t just start typing under a prompt, but you can save them and then type away under them there. For this sort of practice writing I think it could be great, just needs to be a little more intuitive, don’t see why it needs that extra step. Tempted to go 2 stars, but the other apps were so bad this seems good in comparison, so 3 stars. ### 3/5 — Beautiful app! only something is missing... *2021-05-12* Great idea. Unfortunately, the writing prompts are more challenging to translate than a regular app, especially if the developers do not know the language. We hope you understand. But you can still start writing in the app right away, can't you? You just have to go to the notes section of the app and start writing. In addition, you can change tabs at any time to check the prompts without losing your work. :) I hope this works for you. Though, I do miss 2 key features for me: - Support for split view / slide over (crucial) - German database for using the App in German ;) ### 4/5 — Some flaws but good overall *2017-05-24, version 2.7* Some awesome features (I love the workshop!) but some of the prompts are completely nonsensical which takes away from the usefulness and enjoyment ### 4/5 — Plenty of Inspiration *2017-01-05* For a few bucks, this app offers a lot. A great kickstarter when looking for ideas and to get your gears moving. The workshops are nice as they give ways for you to use the Triggers in a certain way. Saving prompts is great as well, considering everything generates at random, so you're not going to see the same one twice. It seems it was translated to English, but only a few errors on that part. The only downside is when they invite you to visit their site on the Tips bar, their blog is in Spanish. Other than that, great app. ### 3/5 — Great Concept *2016-11-16, version 2.5.2* Excellent idea. But it does crash a lot. A lot of the suggestions given have a supernatural base, maybe have categories? Needs to fix crash when saving five words after editing on iphone6 iOS 8.4 ### 5/5 — Excellent Imagination Sparkler & Logger. *2014-09-11* I love this app. Helps get the mind working then let's you make notes so you don't forget about your new ideas. ### 4/5 — Good App for Writing *2014-08-02* I like this app. It provides me an easy place to store my notes for my stories. It provide good prompts and lists of title. Titles are hard for me so it's nice to have prompts to help. I like the exercises and character sketches. This app is a good one. ### 2/5 — Oversimplified *2014-07-17, version 2.3* These writing prompts are way too simple, trite. Don't really inspire writing, just buying. The organization is really great though. Could be improved with the ability to change or add your own prompts to theirs. ### 5/5 — One of the best writing apps! *2014-06-15* I really like using this app! Not only does it have the prompts and exercising, but I can keep all my tidbits of writing in the notebook. I only have one thing- I don't like that you have to hit 'done' in the notebook for it to save what you wrote. There should be some sort of auto save. I've lost work a few times because I didn't remember to hit 'done'. ### 4/5 — Good prompt app *2014-05-18* Great app to fuel daily writing exercises. The variety of helpful tools is pretty nice and gets the job done for beginners. Too bad to write a lot of words! ### 1/5 — de qui se moque-t-on? *2016-11-02* l'éditeur fait l'effort de traduire le descriptif en français sur l'appstore depuis de nombreuses années alors que son appli n'est pas traduite. foutage de gueule force 1 million. ### 1/5 — Uninstalled magically from my device *2016-08-25* This app uninstalled itself (or disappeared) from my device once I got a higher IOS system and updated the app. Maybe the developers took it off the App Store to put in their other $9.99 app? I think that's it. It did look like the update wasn't there anymore, so I guess I had some warning. Oh, well, I got my use out of this in the past. Previous review: I like this app, but there's quite a few spelling/grammatical errors. I know the creator's first language isn't English, but if this app is meant to better our writing HIS writing should be better. [Better proof-read, at least. He doesn't make *that* many mistakes.] All the characters are really old. Even if you're an adult writer, you'd have to make a kid character in there somewhere. I'd love a plot line as well! The last update was good. I'm thinking about deleting this app. It's not that inspiring. Writers are sort of sensitive about that kind of thing. ### 1/5 — Save your money *2012-08-20, version 1.0.1* The person who wrote this App has appalling grammar and every writing prompt has at least one spelling mistake! How can someone design an App to guide aspiring writers when they have such a poor command of the English language?! First bone of contention for me. The second is that all the title ideas were repetitive and non-inspiring and some just sounded like random words thrown together, most had 'dragon' or 'prophets' in them. Nothing inspiring here... ### 2/5 — Not for me, and maybe you *2014-09-24* I bought this app because I have to write 15 min every night for school and often times I run out of ideas. I am 14 and in 8th grade and these prompts are aimed towards one group of people all the characters that come up are old.
