Easy to use once you have worked your way through it Customer Support 100% good quick feedback. Had limited success with the software identifying birds from photograph but suspect this is due more to my poor photography skills. The bird songs and calls appear accurate from my limited use of the app. Identifying birds from the outline and questions works well. Added my first bird image an easy ident and got a 90% ident that was clearly 100% wrong! Hmmm, adding images from my library is tricky to get location correct as the App seems to be set up for iPhone users. Could not find any useful help / guidance and after fiddling for a while tried to contact the developer and after 3 days no reply. For me there are a number of much better free birding apps than this so I have learnt a lesson and cancelled my subscription ### 1/5 — Useless *2025-01-10, version 4.2.11* Doesn’t pick up multiple birds at once, and then can’t even properly identify the correct bird and half the birds that are everyday visitors aren’t even found on it. ### 1/5 — Need to rate before using *2024-12-29, version 4.2.11* Bad form this is ### 1/5 — Bad form asking for rating *2024-12-15, version 4.2.11* Just downloaded this. However, you cannot use it until you’ve rated it. Like Catch 22. How can I know what rating to give unless I get to use it? So, gave it one star for poor customer awareness and poor design. I’ll upgrade the rating later once I’ve tried it … perhaps ### 2/5 — Annoying ads *2025-01-31, version 4.2.12* The free version only lets you have one identify before bombarding you with ads or asking you to pay. ### 2/5 — Started off so well *2023-06-01, version 4.0.48* When I first paid for this app, I was able to set it to listen and id birds quickly and efficiently. But sadly it now listens but never gives an id. I have other apps that I’ve haven’t spent anything on but they seem to work better. Feeling very disappointed as this wasn’t cheap… ### 3/5 — Annoying and frustrating *2022-12-25* Downloaded this to test it before committing to it. So far it has identified the call of oystercatchers as being mallards and a really good photo of a beach thickknee taken from two metres away as an indian peafowl. While it did get the magpie correct it missed out on identifying other birds because it made me watch an ad for 30 s. Of course the bird flew away while waiting for the ad to finish! Also not much use in the bush out of mobile phone range as can’t watch ads there! Hard to know if the paid version is better as, after this experience it is hard to see why one should invest. **Developer response:** Hi, thanks for your detailed feedback. We’re sorry the app felt frustrating at the time, especially after the first few identifications.
