### 2/5 — Why is the thermostat always loading?

*2026-04-09, version 4.1.18*

Every time I go to check the temperature of the thermostat on the app it’s always stuck loading. Fix it pls

### 2/5 — Reconsidering my iDevices because of the app

*2026-03-10, version 4.1.18*

I got iDevices products because they integrated well with Apple and Siri. But the app has not changed in a very long time. And, there are other products on the market that now do the same thing but at a much lower price point. One problem that has never been resolved is schedules set for devices have to be reestablished when DST starts and ends. I don’t have that problem with Hue devices; they adjust automatically.

I’m about to get rid of my devices and this app just to save myself the frustration of using it. The idea was great way back. They just haven’t kept up with the times and the devices and app have not aged well.

### 2/5 — Firmware updates no longer supported by this app

*2026-03-05, version 4.1.18*

Great products but the app does not support firmware updates on their devices anymore!

### 3/5 — Crashes when trying to view all options on thermostat

*2026-01-19, version 4.1.18*

Very important functionality in order to set advanced features such as the deadband on the thermostat. To access this you need to tap “view all options” which crashes the app.

### 1/5 — Should be called GLITCH Devices

*2025-12-09, version 4.1.18*

Does NOT work when away from home!

### 1/5 — App Crashes Controlling Thermostat

*2025-12-09, version 4.1.18*

The app used to work better. The latest version crashes when I tap on “View All Options” so I now cannot change when the a/c or heater comes on. Mine is stuck bouncing back and forth between running the heater and a/c when set to Auto because the temp only has to get 1° warmer or colder than the set temperature for the appropriate one to come on. I used to be able to set it for 2,3 or 4 degrees.

### 1/5 — IDevices is shutdown!

*2025-12-02, version 4.1.18*

Idevices was bought out by hubble and instead of keeping support for the wall outlet switch they have decided to shut the company down. I found this out when i installed a new wall outlet switch i had from a year ago and it needed a firmware update. Unfortunately the app would not show it needed it where the apple home hit did. When i contacted support they said those servers have been shutdown for months and there is no plans to fix it. Fortunately my plug works with the outdated version but for how long is a mystery and that sucks because they are great devices to remotely turn off and on xmas lights or lamps or any device you have plgged into the wall. And it tracked how much electricity the device you plugged in was consuming. Like yearly usage of a refrigerator is about the same as ipad charges. Who knew?

### 1/5 — Way to ruin great HomeKit switches, Hubble.

*2025-11-30, version 4.1.18*

I have a bunch of iDevice switches. When they work, they are great. When they don’t, God help you trying to reset and reconfigure. Stay away from this brand- since the Hubble purchase. Really sad.

### 1/5 — Abandonware

*2025-11-18, version 4.1.18*

This app hasn’t been updated in forever, the hardware and app itself feel like they are a complete afterthought at this point. Half the time i load the application up all of my devices just have a spinning icon and it’s an act of congress before they ever connect. Pure trash at this point, unless there are major improvements steer clear of these devices and this app (assuming the devices are even still sold???)

### 1/5 — Abandonware

*2025-11-14, version 4.1.18*

The developer has abandoned this app leaving my thermostats unusable.

### 1/5 — Sad story

*2025-10-31, version 4.1.18*

What a great product line up it used to have with unique features of granular entry tracking.

### 2/5 — Basic option to delete a device is missing

*2025-09-19, version 4.1.18*

I’ve followed online help to try and delete an old device, but the option is missing. Fix that and the review would be 4 stars.

### 4/5 — Sockets

*2025-08-29, version 4.1.18*

I've owned 9 iDevices sockets for several years.
I set them up and operate them under Apple Home Kit.
They do bug out occasionally.
I never use this app.

### 1/5 — Garbage

*2025-08-21, version 4.1.18*

The idevice app is very buggy and basically doesn’t work just like the hardware sold under the idevice name. Junk

### 1/5 — Worse ever

*2025-08-12, version 4.1.18*

If I could give the iDevice switch zero stars I would. It has to be reset all the time and most of the time you can’t use it. iDevice tells you it is an Amazon problem, and I will just have to wait until they get it worked out. After getting it back up and running, it only works for about 6 months. Looking for other options.

### 1/5 — Disconnects

*2025-07-20, version 4.1.18*

Device consistently disconnects with the app. Annoying

### 2/5 — No updates in 2 years

*2025-05-15, version 4.1.18*

While I’ve been using iDevices for probably 10 years lately it seems like 1 problem after another. How do you not roll out an update in over 2 years? All the products are spoty at best, and any iOS update comes with hours of trying to get iDevices to reconnect

### 1/5 — Terrible

*2025-02-10, version 4.1.18*

Only works on same network. Even if you go through their troubleshooting guide it still doesn’t work. No firewall. Will be buying other equipment.

### 1/5 — Need long overdue update

*2025-01-09, version 4.1.18*

This app hasn't been updated in over a year. Needs update updates so devices work properly

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Won’t connect

*2026-05-22, version 4.1.18*

Spent couple hours troubleshooting trying to connect Idevices Kitchen Thermometer.
Finally gave up, going back to old fashioned meat thermometer.

### 1/5 — This App has become absolutely Trash

*2026-05-13, version 4.1.18*

This app literally can’t even do simple things like when you click the X to close a page it dose nothing when you try to check the Firmware Version a device has You simply get Unavailable ether fix the app so it actually works and dose what it’s supposed to or remove it from the App Store because it’s literally unfit to be an app at this point

### 1/5 — Where are you iDevices?

*2026-05-11, version 4.1.18*

No app update in 3 years? My thermostat stopped communicating with the Apple Home app. Looks like this company has bailed and so am I pretty soon.

### 1/5 — No longer supported

*2026-05-02, version 4.1.18*

IDevices no longer supports this app. Recent iOS changes has removed the Dim Level trim adjustment settings making their dimmer products useless when trying to quickly dim to lowest setting. Their support is even worse because they make you do all these things they know won’t work before telling you the option is permanently unavailable and will never be restored.

### 1/5 — Zero Stars Really

*2026-04-28, version 4.1.18*

I’m going to dump my last remaining iDevices smart plugs and finally move on. Home app is telling me there are updates for them but nothing shows in the proprietary app. Buh-bye Hubbell Inc.

### 1/5 — IDevices = obsolete

*2026-04-08, version 4.1.18*

4 wall switches, an outdoor plug, and 2 plug-in outlets all quit working using the app and Apple Home at the same time. Resetting didn’t work. Since the app hasn’t been updated in years, I believe it is time to abandon iDevices (and Hubbell). After all, they’ve abandoned their own app and products.

### 1/5 — Thermostats

*2026-03-10, version 4.1.18*

I had 2 of their thermostats. They were simple to use but out of nowhere I can not access them remotely anymore. I contacted their support team and they just blamed Google Alexa. That’s too bad I will never purchase another one more recommend them to anyone.

### 1/5 — 0 stars if possible

*2026-03-09, version 4.1.18*

The last year, my i device in my apartment hasn’t worked on my thermostat or the 2 lights it’s supposed to be connected to. I’ve troubleshoot the app several times, deleted it, redownloaded it, and it doesn’t give me access past me accepting them using my home data. It worked for the first few months then suddenly stop. The app itself is the issue because I can’t even attempt to connect with anything in my home.

### 1/5 — Abandoned - thermostat settings not accessible

*2025-12-31, version 4.1.18*

The app and devices seem to have been abandoned. The app crashes when attempting to access the thermostat advanced settings, which I need in order to change the “dead band” setting. Once again we have abandoned software and devices. Sad.

### 1/5 — Asleep at the wheel

*2025-12-11, version 4.1.18*

After the latest iOS update, I can not get into the thermostats advanced settings to set the offset and dead band settings. It’s been 2 years since this app has seen an update. When you’re sitting around and having a cup of coffee, maybe think about releasing a new update to fix these issues and more! Thanks!

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Works for me

*2026-01-27, version 4.1.18*

I bought one iDevice wall switch 9 years ago. Worked really well for 4 yrs controlling house lights when traveling. Moved switch got flakey, needed resetting unplugged it put away. Tonight, 9 years later downloaded Idevice app on iPad after iPhone would not complete the setup twice, timing out.
To my surprise the iPad set up the switch in seconds literally! Setting a schedule was easy peasy too. Now hopefully it continues to work flawlessly.

### 5/5 — Trusty App/Switches

*2023-08-16, version 4.1.18*

Homekit can be buggy but this app and the switches that correspond to them have been the most dependable smart home items in my house. Highly underrated, IMO.

The thermostat also used to work well for me until I had to move. I will have to install a new one here. The app ties them all together well and meshes well with HomeKit in general.

### 5/5 — Super quick

*2020-12-15, version 4.1.8*

Not sure if these guys are using thread technology or not but the second I tap the icon to turn my lamp on or off it's instantaneous. Super impressed.

### 5/5 — Great

*2019-11-25, version 4.1.3*

The application for the IDevice outdoor outlet is wonderful to navigate around. But there’s one thing that needs attention and that is the app has a little bit of lagging that needs to be ironed out. But other than that the app is great

### 5/5 — Why my home data and iCloud data?

*2019-11-23, version 4.1.3*

Update: I downloaded the Weber iGrill app and now it works. Thanks for the quick customer service.

I have an iGrill thermometer I connected to via Bluetooth 2 years ago. When I fired up the app today, it's forcing a connection to my home data and iCloud. I don't want you in my stuff. I just want to connect directly to my thermometer again.

### 5/5 — Works well

*2019-10-21, version 4.1.2*

Plays well with different manufacturers. I use it more than HomeKit

### 5/5 — Excellent app

*2019-09-14, version 4.1*

I never get issue with app. I like all features offered with the app. Maybe it take 2 second to understand how it work the first time but after that there’s no probleme or difficulty to work with app.

### 5/5 — Solid app. Solid company

*2019-05-15, version 4.0.4*

I really like my iDevices Switch. It tracks power usage and allows me to turn my camera off remotely via HomeKit. Setup was a breeze and the app provides constant firmware updates. Please keep supporting this small company, they are doing a great job!

### 5/5 — Need more devices

*2019-05-03, version 4.0.3*

These guys take quality and user experience to another level. Good looking products and no issues so far with over a year of usage. They just need to add more products like motion sensors to their suite of products.

### 5/5 — Works great

*2019-02-10, version 4.0.2*

I bought 17 of the dimmer switches for my home, and they work amazingly well. They are great with Homekit, and I really like the new home page on the idevices app. I wish Siri was smarter about knowing not to turn off the night lights, but I put all the night lights on a scene so turning them all back on is super easy. I had a bunk router that kept rebooting, and all the switches kept reconnecting automatically with no issues. Great! My only complaint is the physical size of the switches. In a standard size 3 or 4 gang box there is not enough space for these. I hope the next versions will be smaller inside the box. I love the app, especially the remote access. And the new ability to update all the firmware of all the devices at the same time is EPIC.
