### 5/5 — iClassics are the best!!

*2017-05-29, version 2.0*

I have all of the iClassics collections, Lovecraft, Poe... I have read some Dickens in the past, but not any of these short stories. The ambience, art, animation and sound effects of this app just make reading these stories really come alive.
I cannot recommend this series of apps more! They are fantastic!!

### 5/5 — Fantastic!

*2017-02-08, version 2.0*

Another winner! Can't wait for the next one!

### 5/5 — Another winner!

*2017-02-03, version 2.0*

I own all the iClassic stories for Poe, Lovecraft, and Dickens. Worth every penny and I will continue to buy the other collections.

Great art, fantastic ambiance and haunting music always make me come back when I need a bit of horror in my life.

### 5/5 — Great!!

*2017-01-18, version 2.0*

So much fun. Great illustrations and interactions. A must have if you're a fan of reading ghost stories.

### 5/5 — A far cry from Tiny Tim,"God bless us, everyone."

*2017-01-16, version 2.0*

These ghost stories are great. A haunting experience. The music and animations only add to the ambience.

As Oliver Twist asked, I repeat. "Can I have some more, Sir?"

### 5/5 — Awesome

*2017-01-16, version 2.0*

I've read Dickens larger works but not his short stories, what an awesome way to enjoy these.
He has lots of great works so keep them coming...how about a retell on A Christmas Story? I alway buy right away

### 5/5 — Mesmerizing

*2016-12-20, version 2.0*

I have all the iClassics so far and they are a wonderful way to read beloved books!

### 5/5 — A delight

*2016-12-14, version 2.0*

I have all the iClassics, and eagerly anticipate each update or new edition. The illustrations and interactive features add a wonderful depth to these beloved classics.

### 5/5 — Bloody Brilliant

*2016-11-15, version 1.1*

I am a major connoisseur of the classic ghost story, and I have such a fascination for illustration that I will buy even the most badly written book if a particular artist has done the cover art. This is like a dream come true.

### 5/5 — How freaking cool!

*2016-10-12, version 1.1*

For years I've been hearing grim prognostication from the publishing industry about the shrinking numbers of readers, the death of the book, blah blah blah, though I personally keep finding amazing new books, (and wonderful people who love to read!)but now...with the quantum leap that these iBooks take?
I believe we need not fear for the future of reading any longer.
These apps are engaging and interesting! It's fun to figure out how each page interacts with you as you go, the music enriches the experience, enhancing the mood...I started with the iClassics bundle and I'm really enjoying it!
The books are reasonably priced, visually captivating, and will make 19th century literature more accessible to young readers.
Five stars!

### 5/5 — Fun spooky read

*2016-07-12, version 1.1*

I love these books/apps. They are so much fun. My only wish is that they held more stories and even a few longer ones :).

### 5/5 — Really fun to read

*2016-06-17, version 1.1*

I really enjoy every turn of the page. Especially reading this in the dark late at night☠

### 5/5 — Another great collection

*2016-02-10, version 1.1*

Great presentation of Dickens classics I (and probably most people) have never read. Looking forward to the update!

### 5/5 — Give us more updates

*2016-01-27, version 1.1*

I love this app it has what I like in books congrats

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Dickens

*2022-03-30, version 2.7.2*

None of the Dickens stories will play.

### 1/5 — Suspicious

*2020-01-12, version 2.7.1*

These books are entertaining and well done, but unfortunately I have to give them a low rating due to the apps suspicious behavior. I have purchased all of the iclassics and found that they all immediately default to the 'on' position in cellular data and immediately use nearly a megabyte of data. Why a book would need to use any data at all is curious and that they use that much data is both odd and suspicious. I wrote to the company at the email posted on their website but received no response. I cannot recommend purchasing these books unless they stop this practice of sending whatever data they're gathering and using customers cellular data without permission.

### 1/5 — Grammar and meaning

*2017-11-18, version 2.6*

Are you dare? What does that mean? You need a better editorial. It should be: “Are you daring?” Or “Do you dare?”. Please hire someone who has graduated high school for your marketing.

### 1/5 — Stuck at the end

*2016-10-16, version 1.1*

Upon completion of the Madman story in Dickens there is no way to return to the main menu. Only option is to write a review here and include this frustration. Yes, I've even rebooted my phone yet the app continues to open at the end of the last story. Review? Story and graphics are great. Navigation within the app, particularly at the end is disappointing if not somewhat maddening--like the story's main character.

### 2/5 — It's great but a waste of money

*2017-05-12, version 2.0*

I love to read classics, and I understand a lot of work went into it. I love that this app gives the characters life as you read but there are only 4 short stories. I paid $2.99 to read 4 short stories in 5 minutes. If it was cheaper I wouldn't be upset. Just go buy the real books.

### 2/5 — Not worth the $$$

*2016-08-18, version 1.1*

The stories and graphics are good, but they're NOT worth the $4.99 you'll pay...needs to be longer...A LOT LONGER

### 3/5 — Horribly Great

*2015-11-01, version 1.1*

Read this one on a dark rainy night if you dare and be ready to give it a five star review.

### 4/5 — Makes reading the classics cool

*2015-10-24, version 1.0.2*

I think even my nephew the reluctant reader would enjoy this, and the art work is lovely.

### 4/5 — Updating the Stories

*2015-10-17, version 1.0.2*

Just takes to long!!

### 4/5 — Wow!

*2015-10-03, version 1.0.1*

It's better then I could have thought l.
My only thing is that, there was some spots I didn't know what to do,
But it was very well done, bravo, bravo!

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — This is spooktacular!!!

*2022-09-19, version 2.7.2*

I hope that you guys continue to keep doing this because I enjoyed this. I look forward to seeing more like this.

### 5/5 — Increíble

*2020-11-24, version 2.7.2*

Es totalmente recomendable. Los niños la disfrutan muchísimo.

### 5/5 — A great deal of amusement.

*2020-10-28, version 2.7.2*

I been reading these apps for a few days now and i having a blast of fun and surprisingly how well are these made.

### 5/5 — Now THAT how you illustrate!..

*2019-11-12, version 2.7.1*

It was VERY nice... I liked it very much! So much... life and color... Who knew Dickens could be so scary! I guess you should never judge one work by another, even if they do have the same author! The illustrations were also cool! I have only two things left to say:
1. There were a couple of mistakes in the text. I know that I may sound like a grumpy old professor, but grammar... well... it’s important!
2. I would advice you to make a collection of Christmas stories! You could put one story in each different
app! I really like Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol” and Hoffman’s “The Nutcracker”!

### 5/5 — Great minds...

*2019-07-13, version 2.7.1*

The talents of the designers of this and Dickens’ made an impressive work. I want to fill my iPad with many more, by him and other horror, sci-fi or other classics by this group of software people. Looking forward to more.

### 5/5 — more! more!

*2018-10-23, version 2.7.1*

Please more! The ability to be a part of the story is gift well received! Thanks to all involved in this project! I am definitely looking forward to more!

### 5/5 — Who knew Dickens was that creepy?

*2018-08-20, version 2.7.1*

This was a great collection. More in the vein of Poe or Lovecraft. I’m glad to have been introduced to this side of Dickens and highly recommend this app!!

### 5/5 — Excelente

*2017-08-24, version 2.6*

Una historia excelente, muy bien contada y animada, la musicalizacion es muy buena.

### 5/5 — Dickens a Ghost Story

*2017-08-21, version 2.2*

Excellently presented. Very creepy and visually displayed. Enjoyed it very much. Looking forward to more.

### 5/5 — Nice

*2017-07-27, version 2.1*

Nice app and fun!
