### 1/5 — Waste of money

*2021-03-18, version 6.2*

Do not buy this software, it does not work. It is a complete waste of money. Also no online support so no where to go to get advice

### 1/5 — Garbage

*2021-02-01, version 6.2*

I took a chance for $14.99. I do a lot of Spreadsheets on a PC & thought this was an easy solution for an extra monitor. Trust me, all the reviews regarding loss of connectivity & lag are spot on. I am using WiFi Connection only and am within 5 ft of my Router. Gave it one star only because you can’t give it ZERO stars. Do not, I repeat do not waste your money if your using it only through wi-fi.

### 1/5 — NOT working NO support

*2021-01-29, version 6.2*

Ipad does not connect to PC. Can not contact the developer, no support. It‘s a rip-off!

### 1/5 — Needs a Trial Version

*2021-01-23, version 6.2*

I would not get a connection to form with Windows 10 on an ARM64 processor.

### 1/5 — I need a refund

*2021-01-23, version 6.2*

I just purchased this for $16 and it doesn’t work! I want my money back

### 1/5 — Just keeps saying “connecting

*2021-01-15, version 6.2*

It just keeps saying “connecting” but never does.. how do I get my refund? 😡

### 3/5 — Update ‼️‼️‼️‼️

*2020-11-21, version 6.2*

Please update it ‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️

### 1/5 — Bad app bad service

*2020-10-22, version 6.2*

I just paid for this app accidentally minutes ago, the. I emailed them to ask for refund. But they still charge me if even though I deleted this app. How poor this company is!

### 1/5 — THIS AIN’T IT

*2020-10-21, version 6.2*

Guys, please don't buy this app. If it were possible, I'd give it 0 Stars. The app lags every second and doesn’t even mirror properly. I wish I could attach screenshots and screen recordings of me using the app. It’s horrible. I was hoping this app would allow me to use my iPad as a substitute for my Wacom until I get a new one. But I couldn’t even make it past the screensaver, it was so bad. Now I’m looking to get my money back. My advice, take your $14.99 and invest it elsewhere. And developers, if you’re reading this, send me my refund.

### 1/5 — I shouldn’t buy that app in the first place...

*2020-04-22, version 6.2*

Because it needs more improvement and I want my money back!

### 4/5 — Don’t understand the low reviews

*2020-04-20, version 6.2*

I’ve been using this on and off for years.

I have a MacBook Air 2010 (rocking it OLD school) with a 2018 iPad Pro. Funny enough. In the past, this didn’t work well with my iPad Air and was very laggy. But, in the absence of Sidecar, iDisplay works just as if I’m using Sidecar on my MacBook Pro 2018.

It connects flawlessly over WiFi and USB, no fumbling around like I had to do when I first got this app many years ago. Obviously, it’s slower with a WiFi connection, but no where near as laggy as before and I prefer a wired connection. I did drop the screen resolution to 30fps, since I’m only using this for referencing between two screens, no heavy lifting at all.

It’s a good little app if your feel the Sidecar hole in you Apple life.

### 1/5 — Do not buy

*2020-01-05, version 6.2*

This app will not connect as an extended monitor. I can only get it to connect in mirrored mode with my MacBook. Even at that, it has a lot of lag. I cannot recommend.

### 1/5 — App is not working

*2019-10-12, version 6.2*

I want a refund.
App keeps saying CONNECTING ... AND IT JUST WONT CONNECT

### 1/5 — Hopelessly slow and laggy useless for presentations refund requested immediately

*2019-08-30, version 6.2*

Hopelessly slow and laggy useless for presentations refund requested immediately

The developer did not respond to any requests for help. Go figure

### 1/5 — Total BS

*2019-07-19, version 6.2*

N very worked. Ask for help customer support - no answer. Email - no answer. Do not buy it

### 1/5 — Rubbish

*2019-06-04, version 6.2*

Doesn’t work on iPad or iPhone. Save your £14.99 and download Splashtop or DuetDisplay that actually work instead.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Does not extend your desktop. Don’t waste your money on this.

*2025-08-30*

Well I have an iPad mini 2 lying around and this app was advertised as a solution to extend your desktop in your Mac. Unfortunately it doesn’t do that on my M1 MacBookPro. Only mirrors my monitor, which I do not need. I reached out to support and it’s non-existent. Do not waste your money on this.

### 1/5 — No longer works reliably

*2024-11-07*

This software no longer works well and even the support options are not working to ask for help. Don’t purchase.

### 1/5 — App not working

*2023-11-03*

No available connections when using the same wifi or with the usb cable when trying to connect between Ipad Pro 3rd Generation running iOS 17 and Macbook Pro 14” M2 Max running MacOS Sonoma. Going to request a refund.

### 1/5 — Horrible app don’t waste your money

*2023-08-08*

App worked for one day and it was glitchy even for that day. Then the app failed to connect to my laptop and it does not connect anymore. Poor quality testing.

### 1/5 — WASTE OF MONEY

*2023-03-07, version 6.2*

Cut out every 5 seconds on the off chances when it actually would connect. Tried contacting support and it took me to an error page.

### 1/5 — بدرد نخوره garbage

*2023-02-10, version 6.2*

I bought this for £12 but it doesn't work at all, don't download and pay, they charged me £12 for a rubbish app, this is a new من این رو 12 پوند خریدم اما اصلا درست کار نمیکنه، دانلود نکنید و پول پرداخت نکنید، برای یه برنامه آشغال 12 پوند ازم گرفتن، این بک دزدی جدیده.

return my money

### 1/5 — I paid $20+ for this app and it doesn’t work.

*2022-06-12, version 6.2*

I can see my iPad in the MacBook settings but the iPad won’t connect to the MacBook, either by hard connection, or by wifi. There either needs to be a free trial, or a hard guarantee that the app will work for such a steep price. I would like a refund.

### 1/5 — Don’t waste your money, not supported anymore

*2022-05-23, version 6.2*

The first thing it says in the description is that it is updated regularly…what a joke. Last updated over three years ago.

### 1/5 — Simply hopeless

*2021-10-26, version 6.2*

It worked for a bit but keeps crashing. Then wouldn’t connect at all. Loads of reboots, re-installs etc. Very frustrating.

They have removed the ability to connect by cable.

The FAQs on their website are very basic.

Press “contact support” and you get a 404 error.

Hopeless product with no support. Don’t buy.

### 1/5 — Slow, dropped wired support

*2021-05-06, version 6.2*

Move along, on PC as of early 2021 they have reduced functionality and high latency. They are ‘working on’ adding wired support back with no timeline.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Does what it says on the tin

*2025-02-18, version 6.2*

Does exactly what it says on the tin. A very good alternate to Duet, who even for their most basic version, charge more for lifetime access than Microsoft do for Windows 11 Home.
Highly recommend this if you require a second screen. I was not expecting to be able to control the pointer on the iPad as well. A most welcome bonus. Thank you iDisplay for being sensible.

### 5/5 — Absolutely Great

*2024-11-04, version 6.2*

So I have been looking for some “second monitors” with my iPad and nothing worked (because it’s old) and then I found this and thought it was going to be the same, buy it, tried it and works fine! Lags a bit but that’s just because it’s old. I will using my other old iPad aswell on here. The only thing is it disconnects on my iPad every 3-5min after being inactive on it. Something I display could improve :)

### 5/5 — Oh Yea!!!

*2020-08-02, version 6.2*

The best of the best !

### 5/5 — Works again with Catalina

*2019-10-31, version 6.2*

Good news works again with Catalina and ios13.

### 5/5 — Works Fine

*2019-01-19*

With an app on the Mac and an app on the iPad the screen is extended with a USB-C to Lightning cable. A tiny lag is the only noticeable thing, but now I have two stellar displays using a 2017 MacBook Pro with an iPad Air 2.

### 5/5 — 5 stars; Rooms for improvement.

*2018-05-01, version 6.2*

With a lot of skepticism (thanks to my experience with former non-functional app), I download the apps on ipad pro 2015 12.9" and on windows 10 laptop with a celeron cpu (reboot needed), and prayed for them to miraculously connect; and, they connected; ...hmm... not that bad..., at least it is alive, my first thought./——- I was quite impressed to find out the following functionalities: 1) my entry laptop can handle the set up without a sweat; 2) can show the documents in two resolutions (a) ipad pro 12.9 resolution and (b) somewhat lower resolution; 3) to my big supprise, I can interact with the documents shown on the ipad using various gestures; 4) I can even rotate the ipad screen, and the view automatically adapted on the fly to the ipad orientation "without crushing"... nice/—— Here are a few features I’d like to suggest: 1) support for wired-connection on win.10 to eliminate lags; 2) support for more resolutions [especially lower resolutions, because higher resolution means small fonts]; 3) the pointer clicking point is slightly offset with the tip of the pointer (I need to aim with middle or tail of the pointer to make a desired click.

### 5/5 — Works fine...👍🏼

*2017-12-19*

I have an iPad Air 2 and 2015 MacBook Pro, and it work just fine. It seems to work as intended. Great product!

**Developer response:** Hey,
Thanks for your feedback. We really appreciate it.
When you open iDisplay and it starts connecting please press Cancel in the top left corner. Then you will see Low/High Resolution toggle. Change Resolution to Low and connect again.
Yours, iDisplay team

### 5/5 — Love version 6

*2017-11-16*

I use iDisplay on a daily basis now with my iPad. It's super convenient, lag free, and doesn't really impact my Macs CPU. Most of the time I use it with the lightning cable, but sometimes the WiFi features comes in handy, for example when I want to show something to my colleague, I just take my iPad with me.

Highly recommended!!

**Developer response:** Thanks for your feedback! Glad to know iDislpay works great for you.

### 5/5 — Great App

*2017-09-22*

Amazing application fulfills what it promises, it is worth every cent your purchase, highly recommended

### 5/5 — Top app

*2016-12-14, version 5.0.0*

Works very well. Does not conflict with my laptop's HD4000 display driver unlike Duet Display. Happy with this purchase.
