## What is Idle?

Idle is a chat app built around widgets that lets your group chat do more than just talk. 

Because every group is different, so is every chat on Idle.
Your rec softball team can add a calendar widget and a roster tracker. Your small business might need a shared Todo list widget or a place to share links. Your book club can create a poll or write in a shared notepad. And your neighborhood group can make announcements and add events to the board.

Meet Widget Studio—create, refine, and organize custom widgets directly in Output.
This release also brings redesigned shared-channel invitations, guided group setup, faster channel switching, and reply-to-original-message navigation. Plus, enjoy more reliable notifications, image uploads, custom emoji, offline sending, and background syncing.

Chat is more expressive with a new built-in GIF picker, smoother animated media and reactions, and a redesigned expandable emoji picker. We’ve also refreshed navigation, notifications, profiles, search, attachments, and chat previews—plus improved message delivery, syncing, loading, and performance throughout the app.

• Feel new haptic feedback across chats, groups, contact sync, and shared-channel actions.
• Fixes include duplicate messages, stuck reply previews, unexpected paste permission prompts, Name Tag editing, and unread badges.
