It’ll always be a wastage of an app, save your bucks! ### 2/5 — Was great until today’s update. *2023-11-01* I paid for the full unlock for this app a couple years ago however even after that, the new update today now has the front page of it inundated with ads that instantly knew my address because the dev also implemented a ton of trackers in this newest update. Charging to unlock a pro version of an app only to turn around and make an update that gives you ads anyway is not good business practice. Deleting it now. The sounds are decent but not worth it now for the ads and trackers you get on your device. Also looks like the pro price went from $3.99 to $19.99. This app has a long delay between external midi being triggered and sound being produced. When playing any sound module there will be some time delay between key press and sound being produced. Anything over 10 milliseconds becomes noticeable. I have measured the delay on this app to be around 125 milliseconds, or one 16th note at 120bpm. Consequently, it is impossible to use this app for real-time keyboard playing. Given this app describes itself as a piano keyboard app, this delay is inexcusable. The piano tones are not particularly good. The piano sounds, specifically, sound like single velocity samples, so the result is not going to be remotely authentic. There are some nice pad sounds, which are useable because the delay for pads is less important, but all sounds that have a fast attack, piano, organ, guitar, etc, suffer in playability because of the delay. There are ways around the issue; resampling or non-realtime recording. But of all the synths and sound module apps in my collection, of which there are many, this is the only one which can’t be played in real time. ### 2/5 — So much potential- WASTED *2019-10-05* Bro, please fix the app. Charge. The sounds are the potential of this app but the controls make it extremely unintuitive. One has to go to the far ends of creativity to use this app...such as having a way to record the sounds a then creating a software instrument in another app using the sounds. That process would be too tedious. This app could be so much better and really opened up with improved controls. For example, add midi in for better keyboard control of the sounds. Add a settings button that offers playability options such as turning on background audio so that the app can play in the background. This one does not. I tried deleting and reinstalling with the same results. I rebooted the iPad.....same thing, it does not work. The ambition of the dev is clear, and if the elements on display in the initial version get worked up into something more usable in future updates this app could quickly become something fun to play with. It has some good clean sounds and is simple to use. I don’t understand the negative reviews. ### 4/5 — コンプ臭さが持ち味のサウンド *2024-01-23* かなり強めのコンプがデフォルトで掛けられています。嫌な人はCompressorの項目でスレッショルドを0dBに戻してやればコンプ臭さは消えますが、代わりにただ使えないサウンドになるだけかも。なのでこのコンプ臭さが好きか嫌いかで使い所があるか否かが分かれるでしょう。パッキパキのクリーンなギターサウンドなんかは結構使い所はあると思います。というかギタリストが聴いて「うん、ギターの音だわ」と納得の音が出ます。更に後ろにリアンプ系のアンプシミュなんかを挿してやると「マジか」ってくらいギターな音になります。またCubasis 3等でInter-App Audio（Instruments）として普通に使えますが、ご存知の方も多いと思いますがInter-App Audio自体がバグの巣窟のような規格なので、早々にフリーズしておくのが無難かな、と。またiDousyn は1チャンネルと2チャンネルにそれぞれ音色を設定して混ぜて使うのですが（最初は両方ともピアノになっています）自分はレイヤーせずに2チャンネルのレベルを0にして、1チャンネルだけのシングルで使っています。まあ本当は評価は星3なんですけど、でも存在感のある音を出してくれる掛け替えのないアプリなので星4にしておきます。 ### 4/5 — しっかりした音が出るアプリ *2023-11-18* 良いアプリですが、最近､広告が出てくる。チョットウザいです。 ### 4/5 — iDousyn review vs VOGEL CMI *2021-06-15, version 3.0.0* I got this as a substitute to the Vogel CMI app that’s way overpriced, it’s getting better, not quite there but I can see it blowing away the older app. Looking to see this working smoothly with my midi controller, AUV3 etc… --- *Data collected daily from the US App Store and indexed by [AppsHunter](https://appshunter.io/).
