## What is If?

if-thenプランニングとは、「もしAをしたら、Bをする」という簡単なルールを、あらかじめ決めておくことで、目標達成率を上げる事が出来る心理テクニックです。
例えば、「お昼ご飯を食べる時は、必ずサラダも食べる」「仕事から帰ったら、腕立て伏せを10回する」「イスから立ち上がったら、スクワットをする」のように、事前にルールを決めておく事で、意志力に頼らずに、自分が身に付けたい習慣を身につける事が出来るようになります。
また、習慣を身に付けるだけでなく、悪癖(やめたいと思っているのにやめられない習慣)を断ち切ることにも使えます。
例えば、「(ついついお菓子を食べてしまうから)0のつく日にだけ、お菓子を食べても良い」「(お金を使いすぎる癖があるから)給料が入ったら、自動で別の口座に振り込まれるように設定する」などです。
私たちの人生の50%は習慣的な行動で占められているので、if-thenプランニングを利用して習慣をコントロールする事が出来れば、自分自身で人生をコントロール出来るようになります。
