### 3/5 — Fun and simple with a flaw.

*2024-04-27, version 1.5.3*

So this is a decent little dice game. Interface is clean and simple. I like you can change the speed of the computer opponents dice roll. Also there are different levels of how the computer opponent plays.

Where I have a problem is the random dice rolling. The AI or RNG isn’t consistent. 90% of the time if you are beating the computer it will suddenly make a massive role and pull ahead of you. This happens a lot to the point it’s like the computer is going to win 70-90% of the time. I just notice the game favors the computer opponent. It just doesn’t feel balanced. It should always let you win no but it should feel more balanced.

Overall still a fun game

### 3/5 — Addictive

*2023-05-07, version 1.5.3*

Not random enough. Lots of questionable rolls

### 3/5 — Fun, but loaded

*2021-06-24, version 1.5.3*

This game is fun but…
The probabilities of dice rolls in this game are unrealistic. I see multiple 1500-2500 point rolls in a single game. I have been playing this game with real dice for over 20 years and have never seen rolls like these.

### 3/5 — Not random

*2019-08-20, version 1.5*

Not random at all

### 5/5 — Great Farkle Game

*2019-03-26, version 1.5*

I love this game and version of the app—fun to play and simple to customize. Definitely worth the 99 cents.

### 2/5 — There are Issues.

*2019-02-26, version 1.5*

0. The day after I installed this app on my iPad Pro, I got stuck in Portrait mode and screen won’t rotate to Landscape mode. I doubt if this is a coincidence. The programmer probably only cares about developing games as fast as possible bypassing quality control.

1. Would be better if you could view in landscape mode if you have an iPad Pro with keyboard attached so you wouldn’t have to be sideways.

2. Would also be better if text were a bit larger. Maybe have an option for this.

3. Random?? I am skepticaal. Sometimes it seems round after round for several rounds you start with one pair while machine starts with 3 of a kind or better. Then you find yourself behind by thousands of points.

### 4/5 — Love the game

*2018-12-03, version 1.5*

Great fun game. Addictive, competitive and quick to play. Really hate the new “flat” look. Can you change it back?

### 5/5 — Disappointing

*2018-10-24, version 1.5*

This is NOT a random number generator game. 99% of the time the computer gets higher scoring points than me.

### 4/5 — Pretty decent representation

*2018-09-20, version 1.5*

Sometimes the AI can get a little aggro and give up a lot of points, but this app does a good job of representing the game.

One feature I’d like to see is if you’re on the “last chance” roll when the opponent breaks 10,000, you get a “You need 1570” that stays on screen as you’re trying to beat the opponent.

### 5/5 — Good app

*2018-04-02, version 1.4*

Great layout, intuitive UI and good configurable game play options. Addictive game for me.

### 3/5 — Ok — could be great.

*2017-12-27, version 1.4*

Nice simple interface. Would be 5 stars if had minus points for Farkles and if had the piggy back option. I like the pass feature where the screen flips for the second player.

### 3/5 — Update

*2017-09-26, version 1.4*

It was so much better visually before the most recent update! I wish I could get it to go back.

### 4/5 — Totally addictive!

*2017-09-21, version 1.4*

Been playing this game for 30 years. Great to see it in an app!
**UPDATE
I don't like how flat the dice look now, and washed out. More contrast please!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Luck favors computer

*2021-12-27, version 1.5.3*

Only a few plays in and super clear the dice rolls for the computer are super unbalanced and unfair. Kills all joy to get trounced every game, and worse, the better the dice I get the more aggressive the computers luck becomes.

### 1/5 — Frustrating

*2021-07-23, version 1.5.3*

I've been playing this game in real life since college. Friends and I would gather and party and play this game. I know how to play strategy. I've tried a few different electronic versions and I have to say, this is the most frustrating Farkle game I've ever tried to play. Trying to scrape together something big and have to settle for 350, then Computer rolls 2 sets of 3-of-a-kind (2500 pts) and then immediately rolls 3-of-a-kind 1's (1000.) I've been playing for 20 minutes and I've seen it happen n every single game, and sometimes twice in a game. If you Ike winning a game now and then, don't waste your money on this one.

### 1/5 — It started out good and then the game seemed rigged

*2019-07-11, version 1.5*

I loved this game. Kept me occupied during my husband’s surgery, but the loved soon died. When you play this for awhile you start to see a pattern with the computer and before long you are lucky to even win all on the easy level. Amazing when the computer scores 1000’s of points each round and you are luck to even get 150 points. I went from being ahead by over 1000 points to the computer getting 9000 in two rounds. I set my settings to where you have to score 1,000 before being award any points. Funny how two games back to back to back where I didn’t even score before the computer won and each turn it had it was scoring 1500+ on the easy level! 100% rigged... Developers either fix this and I update this review or I delete this game and leave 1 star so others won’t waste their time or money! I give the developers until August 1, 2019 to fix this problem or I’m gone and my review and rating stays.

### 1/5 — Not really Farkel

*2019-06-08, version 1.5*

There is no provision for rolling only some dice as in real Farkel
Take out a scoring die you have to roll ALL the remaining dice removing any chance of gaining a better score. This is not Farkel

### 1/5 — Always lose now

*2019-06-03, version 1.5*

I used to play this game frequently. Then an update quite awhile back made even playing on easy, a losing game. I used to break even in wins and losses, but now the computer always wins. Such a shame. Deleting it now.

### 1/5 — Not random

*2018-05-12, version 1.4*

This game is garbage. The amount of times the AI gets to roll as opposed to how many times the player does is evidence that it’s more programming than probability. The player farkles far more often than the AI, and the AI has a greater occurrence of high scoring rolls than the player. Better to just roll six real dice.

### 1/5 — Not worth it

*2018-02-25*

This game is not worth the money. The dice randomisation is poorly implemented and results in totally unequql matches (even in zwo-player mode). We checked that simultaneously with physical dice. Changing the difficulty level only results in a rather stupid AI, making nonsensical decisions.
There are much better Farkle apps out there.

### 1/5 — What the heck?

*2017-07-20, version 1.4*

I love games like this and don't mind losing, but every time? I played this games at least 30 times and won maybe 3 or 4 times and that was when I first started. It seemed obviously tilted for the computer to win, why, I don't know. Glad I only spent $.99 on this App.

### 1/5 — I Want the Previous Version Back

*2017-06-14, version 1.4*

New version way too slow.

This was my go to Farkle app but after the latest upgrade I'm looking for a new app.

Hate it when developers break a perfectly good app under the name of improving it only to break it.

### 1/5 — Lost Interest

*2017-02-11, version 1.3.2*

I first purchased the free version and played it until the computer won so many times in a row it just wasn't fun. I purchased the other version hoping it would be different, but it isn't. I again have lost so many times in a row it just isn't fun (double digit losses). Sorry to say I think I will delete the game.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Love dice

*2024-10-03, version 1.5.3*

When I first ever got a iPhone…. This was one of my first games… still love it

### 5/5 — Cool

*2024-03-13, version 1.5.3*

Sooooooooooo cool, if to get it for a ked DO IT!!!! The kid will have so much fun!!!!!

### 5/5 — Bela

*2023-06-03, version 1.5.3*

Fun fast play.

### 5/5 — Such a great, basic game!!!!!!

*2022-04-30, version 1.5.3*

This is a fantastic game. Very simple, and addicting! If I could ask for one thing it would be rule variability (like scoring a small straight). Great game!!!!!

### 5/5 — Best

*2021-11-28, version 1.5.3*

I love this game I love how you can just be competitive with it and you learn a lot

### 5/5 — Fun, simple

*2021-01-04, version 1.5.3*

Would like to see more scoring options, maybe some choices with UI color. But overall, this is a fun game to play. Somehow, this is the game I’ve played the most on my iPhone.

### 5/5 — Great dice game

*2020-05-28, version 1.5.1*

I really like this paid version of the game (thank you for a great price with no ads or IAPs). The design is minimalistic and modern, everything looks cool and runs smoothly, and it uses almost no battery.

I’m finding it to be as fair as any dice game would be. I win just often enough that I want to keep playing. I lose more than I win, and some games are super close and go either way. This is on the meek setting, and I play fairly aggressively, taking risks. It strikes the right balance to me, doesn’t seem unfair. You do start to notice patterns in how the computer approaches a game, but that’s true of all AI games. This is well done, I really enjoy it. Thank you developer!

### 5/5 — Good - but pop ups?

*2020-03-27, version 1.5.1*

Good simple and clean farkle app. But the pop up dialogs are annoying and in the way. Those could easily be messages below the dice...especially the Farkle! or “one last turn” messages.

### 5/5 — Sandra & paul

*2020-02-20, version 1.5.1*

I’m happy with the game

### 5/5 — Love, but computer player plays stupid

*2020-02-10, version 1.5.1*

I play this every day. I used to choose the meek computer opponent but for awhile I have been playing against the Normal computer player. Normal plays very stupid and more aggressive than it should. I’ve won plenty of games when I should not have.
