This version does not integrate with the native Files app on the iPhone12 and one cannot easily transfer files created in iFiles to iFiles2 except by laboriously uploading to the cloud in the former and downloading them into the latter. If a remote file is created or updated, I have to close the app and restart. The old ifiles app had an "update" button, but it has disappeared in this new app. ### 3/5 — WebDAV geht … nach Startschwierigkeiten, OwnCloud auch nicht *2022-01-26* Der einzige Grund warum ich die App gekauft habe war, dass man damit WebDAV Verzeichnisse in „Dateien“ einbinden kann. Grundsätzlich geht das schon … Allerdings ging es am Anfang nur bedingt. In der App ja, aber nach Schließen und Öffnen war es wieder weg. Nach einem Tag geht es jetzt plötzlich, deswegen habe ich die Bewertung auch von 1 auf 3 angehoben. Meinen OwnCloud-Server kann ich mal gar nicht verbinden, dort bekomme ich den Fehler, dass keine Verbindung aufgebaut werden kann. Keine Ahnung wo hier der Haken hängt, bin aber genervt, weil man nicht mal eben ohne Weiteres eine Rückerstattung (ja, über ein Ticket bei Apple) beauftragen kann. Ich bin relativ neu in dem Ökosystem, und wenn ich das vorher geprüft hätte, hätte ich das Geld wohl auch nicht ausgegeben. ### 2/5 — On-time Updates *2021-12-20* This used to be a great app. It was my #1 “go to” for saving and organizing my files and connections of any type. But it seems that the developer has lost interest in keeping the software updated in a timely manner. There have been no new features added either for a very long time. Sad to say it was good while it lasted, but I have to put my files and connections into a software that the developer is actively either developing or perfecting. I’m not wanting to use an app that I feel could quit working any day Apple decides to put out an update. I still keep this program in the last page of a group folder for the day maybe the developer will take a real interest in the program instead of drawing a paycheck. ### 1/5 — Used to work *2021-10-18* Haven’t used it in a while but installed on my new iPad. It just worked. This “update” however, is more of a downgrade. Navigating around the app is just so confusing. Finding things isn’t as easy as it once was. For example, to reach settings you’d have to go back to the homescreen of the app which can get frustrating quickly when you’re deep into folders. What surprised me the most is the lack of GIF support. The GIF files appear as static images. I thought I had to tweak some sort of setting but that wasn’t the case at all. It’s just not supported. Another thing that they could’ve added is a manual slideshow timer instead of the allowed choices 2/2/5/10/20 (yes, 2 is displayed as an option twice). An update seems unlikely since the last update was 7 months ago. Overall, I’m disappointed in what this app has become. Don’t get me wrong, it functions very closely to the original iFiles app but it lacks the finishing touches to what should have been an honest updated version of iFiles. I sincerely hope that there are plans to polish this app. ### 1/5 — Renommage inutilisable *2021-06-21* Le renommage en masse est inutilisable car on ne peut pas définir de pattern pour matcher des noms différents comme * ou ? De plus l’app est mal traduite et en allemand par défaut au lieu de l’anglais qui est quand même un peu plus largement compréhensible. I could browse, download and organize in one app. But at some point it stopped working. It crashes when I try to use it. I haven’t found a satisfactory replacement yet. ### 1/5 — Crush on iphone12 after set fingerprint? *2024-09-18* Was using this app with older iPhones and everything was good, now I downloaded it for iPhone 12 latest ios. The app was working fine until i set a password now it auto crashes every time, there is no way to get to the menu where you can enter the password it crashes right away, I'm pretty sure you can reinstall it but now I have data in the app that I don't wanna lose. It’s a shame that this is no longer being developed, as it used to be excellent. ### 1/5 — No support or user guide *2022-11-12* I bought this app at about five months ago, maybe more. There’s no instructions or user guide that comes with it and I have emailed them five months ago, asking about how to connect to an a AFP server with this, and no reply. Their Twitter and Facebook feeds both have no activity for several years and the copyright shows to go only till 2016 for the software, so it appears they may have just left it up here to be download and purchased, without providing any further support. I had a problem which i explain below: iFiles brings up the last file it had on screen when it last closed. The last file i had was a corrupt pdf and the app would get stuck.
