### 2/5 — This app used to work great

*2009-12-09, version 0*

I bought the $5 app several months ago, and honestly it worked great. I just spend the last 4 hours typing new cards on the website, downloaded them to my iPod Touch, and they don't work. Apparently they have been removed from the app store. I have checked their website for information about a glitch or to contact them and, of course they have no contact info posted. WTF!!!!! Stay away!

### 2/5 — Has potential

*2009-12-04, version 0*

This app has so much potential if some seriouse dedicated time is put into it. Flash cards are boring looking. No real nice graphics. Put some more time in it and fix the new update and you can have the best flash card app.I can't sign in at all since upgrade to finish my cards.Need to jump on this right away because technically it's useless and will get nothing but bad reviews

### 1/5 — support for this app AND its paid version is horrible.

*2009-12-04, version 0*

Does the designer test his product at all? After the newest version of the $4.99 iFlipr (vers 1.52), the app is completely non-functional. For one thing, you'll notice the full iFlipr app has been completely removed from the iTunes store, which is why I'm writing this review on the Lite version. For another, the latest update (just before the app was removed) makes it utterly unusable (every time I try to practive any deck, a glitch in the coding causes the previous screen's bottom menu bar to reappear and the "Right", "Wrong" and "Flip" buttons are all non-functional). So great, I paid $5 for something that no longer works and I have no reason to believe that the developer will put forth the effort to fix it, not even a curteous "work in progress" message in the app description! I hope this testimony will serve as a warning of what you're thinking about downloading.

### 1/5 — I want my money back!

*2009-12-03, version 0*

Finals week and the paid version of this app stopped working. I want my money back. I thought maybe the app would have been fixed before the week was over but it has not.

### 2/5 — Good functionally but bad aesthetically

*2009-11-11, version 0*

This app is average compared to the other flashcard apps out there. It allows you to create and edit flashcards and sync them to the Internet website. Fine.
However the interface is poorly designed. Interface for creating new cards is somewhat odd. The biggest problem is the app is laggy and there are barely any animations. Also I could not find any view for seeing all flashcards in a deck. Maybe that was just me. I also think it's silly how you have to create an account to use this flashcard app.

### 3/5 — Its ok so far

*2009-09-25, version 0*

Please add Long vowels [ā ē ī ō ū] (for Latin) to your website, I can write them using Ipod but on site I have to copy/Paste from character map, very tedius.

Also in quiz mode sometimes, lists the correct answer many times but only believes one is correct??

### 1/5 — !!!!

*2009-09-24, version 0*

Awesome :D

### 1/5 — Buggy

*2009-08-10, version 0*

Crashed the first time I used it.

### 1/5 — All

*2009-07-14, version 0*

All I had to say was "SUCKY"

### 1/5 — UGGGHHH

*2009-07-10, version 0*

Super annoying!!!!!!!! Pretty ugly app, but that doesn't bother me as much as the fact that it doesn't autosave!!!!!!!!!!!

I wrote at least 15 + flashcards and was about to make another ( these were to help my Spanish), when my phone rang. I picked it up and then put it back, and my itouch had fallen asleep. So I didn't all the pasword thing and got back to the flashcards, when All the sudden it jumps to anoher part of the app. I go back to the creating part and all my work was gone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 20 minutes of typing on my itouch ( which takes 4evr anyway) was all for nothing. Aghhhhhh

Save peoples time and create an autosave!!!

### 1/5 — Horrible!!

*2009-06-10, version 0*

This app doesnt even deserve one star! Didnt help me AT ALL.

### 1/5 — Ugh

*2009-05-11, version 0*

I wasted so much time making a deck of cards with the painfully slow and laggy keyboard and I couldn't even use the deck. Why would I need anyone elses flashcards? I want my own. Failed to download my own deck... Ugh...

### 1/5 — Cool app

*2009-03-21, version 0*

This is a really nice app I got more than 85% on every report card( semester)

### 1/5 — The stuipest app ever

*2009-02-19, version 0*

If you could write on that would be a different story

### 2/5 — Not very slick and too expensive to boot.

*2009-02-12, version 0*

While I like the idea of a social website full of decks you can try, I found the community offerings in need of severe editing. There were plenty of half-finished decks, and the art flashcards I looked at were full of low quality photos. I also didn't think the UI was in any way impressive. What really lost me was the $4.99 price tag for the upgrade. FlashCards by Jason Wentworth has many similar features, including plans for a future website for $2 less.

### 1/5 — App ok but website is JUNK!!

*2009-02-11, version 0*

Font size changes every time you hit enter to go to the next line. Website needs some serious fixing. I wouldn't even try this if I were you.

Where is the developer?
A) dead
B) in jail
C) just a looser

### 1/5 — Don't bother!

*2009-12-06, version 0*

I paid for the full version and just found out they apparenty were removed from the app store and now I have thousands of cards on their servers that I can't get to unless I go online...this just isn't acceptable. I'll never buy anything from these jerks again.

### 1/5 — Does Not Work

*2009-12-06, version 0*

Once practice button is hit the screen looks somewhat similiar to the screen shot, but I'm missing the top title bar, and the screen remains in a "loading" state but nothing loads. Please fix!!

### 1/5 — good

*2009-12-05, version 0*

In full version, after updated to v1.5 it seem like every things when so good and a lot better but the last updated one thing does not function especially Practice icon when click to practice nothing come up for praticing, please fixe it. Reason why I wrote the review here on the lite version because the full version could not find in the App store. And because of that I have to look for alternative App and I found Flashcards Delux, it similar to Iflipr or maybe better, I think I like Flashcards Delux, I want to wait for the update to fix the problem but I have the test very soon, too bad for me and thinks to the Iflipr's developer because of That I have to spending another $4.00. I'm not regret about thought, I love Flashcards Delux.

### 1/5 — Don't pay for it

*2009-12-04, version 0*

It was removed from the App Store and is apparently no longer supported. Well....I guess you couldn't buy it even if you wanted! haha

### 1/5 — MD

*2009-12-04, version 0*

I bought this product it is a total rip off and I am pissed. 5 bucks for something that doesn't work apple should have some tpe of method checking the validity of these products. I want my money back

### 1/5 — Need Old Version!

*2009-12-04, version 0*

I'm really annoyed that this app isn't working now. After the update it totally stopped working. I am so annoyed AND I have an exam to study for!

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Excellent App

*2009-09-18, version 0*

Not sure what all the negative reviews are talking about, honestly. This is an excellent little app, and I plan to buy the full version very very soon. I own the FlashCards app and while it's decent, iFlipr is much nicer, IMHO. The community features (i.e., card library online) of iFlipr are a HUGE help, too.

### 5/5 — Excellent App -- Love it!

*2009-03-12, version 0*

I can't say enough good things about this app. I have used it to study for both Anatomy and Chemistry and pulled A's on all my tests so far this semester.

Use the web interface to make cool flashcards with color, different fonts and formatting, or use the interface on your phone to make cards on the fly. The app interface is OK -- not perfect, but once you use it a few times it is very easy to figure out where you need to go. Simple.

I would say this is a MUST HAVE for any student.

### 5/5 — Great

*2009-02-26, version 0*

By far the best free flashcard app out there. Easy to create online or on ipod and study. Since it only supports decks of ten cards, I just make multiple decks.

### 5/5 — Best flashcard app

*2009-02-16, version 0*

Tried it, immediately bought the full version. You can paste in TSV files and make a 100 cards in a flash (pun intended). Plus you can use other people's cards too. Worth the 5 bucks. PS if you can't figure out how to use it, time to reconsider your education. McDonalds is hiring.

### 5/5 — Great Useful App

*2008-12-23, version 0*

This is very easy and helpful. Great study tool. And it's for free come on!! It really has helped me. Just try it. I bought iflipr...not lite version... Love it!!

### 5/5 — Needs a little work but great

*2008-10-21, version 0*

I tried studycards and iflipr lite. I like the look of I flipr but it needs some work. For example, I went to create a new card and liked that they have taken advantage of the rotating ability of the iphone (keyboard is bigger when iPhone is horizontal). So the effort gets them 2 stars, but when I flipped my iPhone to the side the keyboard got stuck in the middle of the screen and the whole layout scrambled like a puzzle.

One of the best features vs studycards is that the way you enter data on a card is much cooler with iflipr (ex on study cards you can't put a space in between lines).

All in all if you are looking for a notecard program try iflipr lite b/c it's free. If you like it buy the full version (where you don't have a 10 card limit). If you don't buy another software.

### 5/5 — Great App

*2008-09-08, version 0*

This app is a great demo app. I'm going to buy the full version right away. I like how you can make your own cards right on the iPhone, and take it with you where ever you go. This is a great app if your in school. It's easy to use, but you should watch the intro video just so you know everything. Good Job Guys!

### 5/5 — Nice work

*2008-08-27, version 0*

I've been using this for a couple of days now. It's really easy. Making cards on the phone is easy, using the cards is easy (simple and beautiful interface), and no crashes or anything like that. The importer on the iflipr website is pretty nice too -- no hoops to jump through, just upload a regular old CSV file from Excel. (I think the person who said they couldn't make cards on the phone should have another look, there's a "Create" button in the "More" menu. I also kinda like that it doesn't make me stop just because I've reached the end of the deck, and lets me keep drilling as long as I want)

The 10-card limit hasn't been much of a problem for me, I've just been working around it. But I'm about to pay for the full version anyway to be able to download some of the bigger decks that people have shared. The community around this software is fantastic -- so much content. This app and OmniFocus have done the most to make me love the iphone.

### 4/5 — Works great

*2009-01-12, version 0*

I got this application to make animal picture word flashcards for my toddler son. Downloads syncs are fast and it is easy to use. Only complaint is that you have the correct/incorrect buttons over the pictures. The horizontal feature needs to be improved. Overall great!

### 4/5 — Overall a good app

*2009-01-11, version 0*

This is the best of the free flashcard apps I have tried. I found it easy to sign up for an account and to create my own decks both on my iPod Touch, and on the internet. I really like the algorithm it uses - it fairly quickly repeats the cards that you didn't get, instead of just going through the deck once like some other programs do. This is particularly helpful when you are using the cards to learn new information, as opposed to just practicing information you already know. Also, it gives the cards the full screen, and allows you to change the font & font size, which makes it more usable and nicer to look at.

Things I don't like:
-You cannot even create decks on your iPod when you are not connected to the internet. As an iPod Touch user, this is particularly annoying. You also can't edit the decks you've already created unless online. It should let you make changes offline, then just sync when you are connected, as other apps do. Until this changes, I would not give the app 5 stars.
-The interface isn't very easy to use, or intuitive. I don't like that 3 of the 5 main menu items are for downloading/searching other people's decks to download, one contains the decks you use (I think it could use a better name - it is called downloads), and the other one is called "more", and has all the help stuff, plus the functions to create & import your own decks, and edit your existing decks. It would make more sense for those last things to be on the main menu, and downloading other people's decks to take up just one menu item.

Overall though, I think it is a really good app, and definitely worth downloading & trying. (Especially considering it is free.) If it were paid, I would probably give it 3 stars, because of the cons above, but since it is free it gets 4.
