## Newest reviews (6 of 26)

### 2/5 — Clunky and outdated

*2023-04-09, version 6.5.0*

Compared to the W&B in foreflight, and honestly almost every other EFB, this W&B program really is lacking, and that’s sad because all this is thing does

### 1/5 — NOT free

*2012-12-21, version 2.0*

Bait and switch.

### 1/5 — Not free

*2012-12-15, version 2.0*

Advertised as free, but costs $250. A spreadsheet can accomplish the same thing for most GA aircraft if you have an hour to create it.

### 1/5 — Yet another underhanded app

*2012-06-18, version 1.5*

It's NOT free. If you need to charge, just say so. Stop lying and take an ethics seminar!

### 1/5 — Way over priced

*2012-05-07, version 1.4*

App looked great but when you go to the web site to look at the pricing be prepared to delete. $250 and $25/mo for single engine piston. At those prices I wouldn't be able to afford to fly so what would weight and balance matter.

### 1/5 — Software NOT free!!

*2012-04-20, version 1.3*

Demo planes look good, but in order to use it with your aircraft you must purchase a $250 subscription directly through the company (not through the app store)! How is this compliant with the app store guidelines?

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Completely Unusable

*2025-07-23, version 6.18.0*

Cannot be used, only 2 demo aircraft. Dont bother downloading, notice all other reviews are from years and years ago.

### 1/5 — Worthless

*2018-07-20, version 5.4.2*

Garbage

### 1/5 — Only for logical for commercial operators

*2018-03-24, version 5.3*

I like how it doesn’t tell you it costs $65 to $250 just to do a piston single. I deleted it off my iPad only a minute after I downloaded it.

### 1/5 — $200 for a single piston plane? Keep it.

*2017-11-04, version 5.1*

Too expensive for us little guys.

### 1/5 — Terrible

*2016-06-05, version 3.9*

Only comes with a default aircraft and all you can do is change the passenger weights. You can't add or edit the planes weight. App is useless!

### 1/5 — Fraud

*2014-08-15, version 2.8*

Useless without paying big buck$ to figure your bird.

### 1/5 — I liked it but...

*2014-02-22, version 2.6*

I use the paper version of this company's weight and balance and was excited when I heard that they had developed this app. I purchased it and enjoyed using it for all three of our aircraft, but was surprised that at the end of a year they charge a high, around two hundred dollars fee on each aircraft. The annual fee seem excessive even for use 135 operators!!!!!

### 1/5 — Overpriced

*2013-09-12, version 2.3*

Download and get nothing. They want $250 for a simple weight and balance spreadsheet. All I can say is WOW! If you fly a 4 seat GA aircraft this is the most overpriced app in the App Store.

### 1/5 — Just a demo! Not for GA Aviation

*2013-06-23, version 2.3*

Zero stars! It's just a demo which will get you to a web side to buy their high priced products. That might be OK for a §135 operation but the product is not for GA!

### 1/5 — Bait and Switch

*2012-12-29, version 2.0*

**FRAUD ALERT** **DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME**

This is not a free application. It is a $300 Excel Spreadsheet.

Essentially the software developers works around Apple's rules by giving you the lock for free and then charging you through the teeth for the key.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Great app and support

*2020-02-02, version 5.8*

I’ve been a customer over 10 years and this app has made our weight and balance procedures incredibly quick and easy. It just doesn’t get any simpler to make a W&B. Amazing customer service and a fantastic user experience has kept us a customer. Our company has had 5 different aircraft programs with American Aeronautics and I have zero complaints.

### 5/5 — Good product

*2013-06-18, version 2.3*

Good product. We use this program for both our Gulstreams. It's very easy to store and retrieve for those nasty SAFTA checks in Europe. If your looking for an easy way to get your W&Bs done quickly this is a good way to go.

### 5/5 — Great product

*2013-05-19, version 2.3*

Product is simple to use and satisfies all our needs.

### 5/5 — Pilot/user

*2013-01-24, version 2.0*

Great tool for my PA46 which is W&B critical. Data entry is simple and the envelope graph provides a good visual of CG and gross weight. Since I always have the iPad with me during flights for charts and plates, it's easy and convenient to use the iPad to calculate W&B when loading passengers, baggage, or fuel. App never crashes; no glitches noticed. Highly recommend.

### 5/5 — Great Product

*2012-12-28, version 2.0*

Great program with outstanding customer support! Used daily in HEMS environment without fail. Highly recommended!

### 5/5 — Buyer beware

*2012-09-24*

Although this app says it is free, it is far from it. Not only do they charge an initial fee to build your W&B calculator (which I understand and would gladly pay...as we did when we had our CL30's built by SeeGee), but they want a monthly subscription as well! Once I purchase the program, there's no way I'm also going to pay a monthly fee...they use the excuse that that charge covers any weight changes you may have...if the weight changes that much, I'll pay for a new program.

### 5/5 — Great app

*2012-07-18, version 1.6*

This app is great for Part 135 operators.
This completing covers the FAR requirement for the pre-departure weight and balance paperwork. Thanks American Aeronautics.

### 4/5 — iPhone app need

*2013-07-15, version 2.3*

It would be nice to have an iPhone version for this app.

### 3/5 — Ain’t for me

*2025-12-29, version 6.20.0*

Not very intuitive and only seems to have Large aircraft templates.

### 3/5 — Split View

*2021-10-26*

Apple has this great feature, split view and you can two apps open Side by side this will be handy when flight planning is this something you can update and add to your app to support split view?
