## What is iForest?

iForest makes of your iPhone an electronic plant book with which you can contemplate, determine, recognize, compare and learn the most important kinds of trees and bushes of Central Europe.

With the purchase of this application, you support the Bergwaldprojekt. 10% of earnings of iForest go directly to the Bergwaldprojekt.

iForest is the App for all plant-interested, nature lovers, forest wardens, gardners, hunters, natural health professionnals and biologists.

The most important characteristics and functions in short terms:
- over 2000 plant pictures of the most important 125 trees and bushes of Central Europe
- 16 pictures per plant (from the seed to the germination, root, trunk, bark, crown, leaf: top and bottom surface, summer and winter branch, wood: horizontal and vertical cuts, flowers: hermaphrodite, female and male till the fruit)
- Search for plants with the text input and indicate
- Profile for each plant with detailed informations to botanical characteristics, wood, location, dangers, forestry, natural health, forest recipes, history etc.
- Select plants with definition characteristics (freely combine according to plant species, type of branch, leaf margin, leaf shape, flower and type of wood).
- Search for plants for various planting locations (freely combine due to lighting conditions, water availability, altitude, temperature, nutrient conditions, pH conditions etc.)
- To put on own plant list (favorites)
- To view pictures of plants (with or without plant names)
- To train and learn plants on the basis their different plant parts
- To indicate a tree horoscope (with data to the Celtic tree circle)

Das letzte Update hat die App leider unbrauchbar gemacht; sie lässt sich nicht mehr öffnen. Bitte schnellstens nachbessern!

Hätte Sie mir fast nicht runter geladen weil das letzte Update vor 2 Jahren war und mich das etwas abgeschreckt hat. Habe es nicht bereut, würde mir aber ab und zu ein Update wünschen (Ein neuer Baum, ein neuer Strauch, gibt bestimmt noch was, was nicht katalogisiert ist :) )

Hab jetzt fast alle Apps zu dem Thema gekauft und keine war perfekt. Diese hier ist wirklich klasse. Allein dass ich den Test mit exakt festgelegten Pflanzen durchführen kann statt nur mit Familien, wie in den meisten anderen Apps, ist super. Auch die Beatimmung ist toll und die Filterung aller Ergebnisse nach zB Blättern oder Rinde/Borke - herrlich! Viele Details zu den Bäumen, insb. auch zu Giftigkeit! Allerdings nichts ist perfekt... Siehe den Text bei der Buche, ein Vergleich mit "wie" bei der Geschichte.

Habe lange nach einer passenden App gesucht, bei der ich sowohl den Baum bestimmen kann, als auch mehr über das Holz, die Geschichte und die Früchte erfahren kann. Diese Eierlegende-Wollmilchsau habe ich hier tatsächlich gefunden! Sie bietet sogar noch viel mehr, wie beispielsweise zum Thema Heilkunde: Was vom Baum/ Strauch kann gegessen werden und wie. Läuft zudem stabil in der neusten iOS Version, ich bin wirklich absolut begeistert!
