The sounds are very good, but a bit lacking in the staccato, burst, and solo departments. Please contact us via the support form on out website: http://bluemangoo.com/contact_us.php thank you. ### 1/5 — Do not spend any money on this! *2017-06-30* Could be a nice app, but the “user support” is a real nightmare. One of the last updates messed up the app completely: audio output of the device will be muted as soon as you start this app. Only a restart of the device will bring audio output back. I have contacted the support and asked them to fix this. They didn’t even bother to apologize and told me straight away that they will not fix it for some (obviously made up) reasons. End of discussion. This is the most rude and unprofessional “support” I have ever encountered. The tuba is pretty good actually, but Key problem: all brass sounds are built in with strong reverb as if in a small room. Other apps are bone dry and I had expected these to be dry too. Aside from that the brass sounds are very realistic. I will have to get used to playing it like some kind of string instrument, I guess. The sounds built into these apps are top notch! The flexibility to setup the number of frets and strings and the note offset between strings is a game-changer! Do you want to instantly apply your skills as a bassist or guitarist to ANY instrument? Would you like to perform a sax or trumpet solo from your virtual bass on the screen? Easy/peasy! Do you just want to play along with some tunes while you on the move? Piece of cake! Would you like to play a local or remote synthesizer from your familiar fretboard instrument? This is an essential app to help make that happen! I’ve wait for an instrument app like this for YEARS! For the lowest possible latency use wired headphones (but it works with Bluetooth headphones as well). Just TRY it! ### 5/5 — A new sound and method to which I make music *2019-10-13* I already wrote a review on the Saxophone version for the iFretless apps. As amazing as the saxophone one is, I like the sound of this one even better. Just as easy to use and with so many ways to sculpt the sound just how I want. This app adds a whole new dimensions to my music making. The best part is it's all on the phone. This app works amazing when combined with the Korg plugKey. Just plug it into your phone and then stereo quarter inch cables to any speaker system and you've got yourself a beautiful sound you will be addicted to playing and listening to. ### 5/5 — A brass suite at your fingers... *2019-06-18, version 3.6.7* For a guitarist like me it’s like a little dream come true. Play brass with a “guitar like” interface. Veeery nice sounds, dynamics and aftertouch. Very fun to play. Really, Apple? *2018-03-04* This may not get as much coverage as the Bass and Sax versions, but it is a beautiful sounding and looking virtual instrument. The sounds are silky and have a gorgeous eeriness either stand alone or added into mixes. Because of the playing dynamics and harmonic visualizations being so accessible and possible, the iFretless apps are as exciting and fun to play as anything I have on the desktop...including the instruments in NI. ### 5/5 — EXCELLENT SOUNDS!!! *2015-12-10* I'm a professional musician, interested in composing great songs with great instruments. Le seul bémol est la reverb intégrée qui dénature et engonce particulièrement le son ### 5/5 — Most awesome addition (so far) to the iFretless family *2014-10-28* At first I was somewhat razzed that the instruments in this app could not just be included with iFretless Sax, I soon knew the joy of using them side by side. I had done this before with the guitar and bass apps from this developer back in the days before Audiobus 2 and IAA. It was fun back then and even more fun now. Brass had always been one of my least favorite sounds in the realm of electronic instrumentation. Not the case with iFretless; it is executed very well and I can't seem to get enough. With the addition of the more bass-heavy sounds here I know this one will be lurking around in many of my constructions to come. Good job.
