I just paid $30 for the audiobook and it won’t play if my phone goes into lock mode. I hoped to listen to this while on walks or exercising etc. I just saw the only review stating the same issue. Does anybody read these reviews? Is there a way to fix this or to get a refund? The audiobook plays, but for instance the first chapter is 2 hours long; in order to listen to it I have to sit there with the app open and touch my screen every few seconds so my screen won’t lock. Can’t press play and put your phone in your pocket etc.

Just started listening to the audiobook and I’ve noticed that I can only listen when the app is open. If my phone goes to sleep the audiobook will discontinue playing. I don’t see any settings which will allow my phone to play the book in the background. This feature would very helpful. I don’t really want to keep my screen open while I listen. I want the ability to multitask while I listen. If there is a simple fix, please let me know, thanks.

I’m not sure if the developers fixed the app or if I have some setting that the others reviewers didn’t have, but I can play the audiobook while my iPhone 11 Pro is locked with no problem. I can listen to the audiobook while walking, and I’ve streamed it to my car via Apple CarPlay.
