### 3/5 — Tapo

*2026-08-12, version 4.113.1*

Deleted app as no longer works with Tapo
Not sure who initiated the parting of ways, and, as it worked until 1/8/26 (August not January!) I’ve given it 3 stars

### 2/5 — Sort of works

*2026-08-05, version 4.113.1*

Paid for an annual subscription in hopes that IFTTT would fill the gap in home automation…sadly, it doesn’t. I wanted basic HUE functionality and it just doesn’t work. Turns on the lights just fine, but never turns them off. If you can’t trust it for the basics, will I really trust it with something important. It’s a nice play toy! Not serious business!!

### 3/5 — Used to always work

*2026-07-27, version 4.113.0*

I loved this app until about a couple of months ago. I have a dehumidifier in the garage on a Kasa smart plug. When the garage door opens it turns off the dehumidifier. When the garage door closes it turns it back on. Used to work like a champ. Now it’s intermittent. Sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn’t. Sometimes it gets it backwards. Booked it so much I subscribed to support them. Now that it is almost useless to me I have canceled my subscription. Very frustrating.

### 3/5 — Now no Tapo

*2026-07-18, version 4.111.1*

Working well now, but the impending loss of Tapo integration means 50 percent of the usefulness to me is gone.

### 4/5 — Great

*2026-07-15, version 4.111.1*

Great I love it. Lookin forward to more features.

Needs MORE

### 4/5 — Good concept but personally not worth paying for.

*2026-07-15, version 4.111.1*

I’ve been using this app for years and when I first started, I was mightily impressed. Over the years, applets stopped working and the app wasn’t an important thing anymore. Now, the new thing is to pay monthly subscriptions for better apps, but I’m not one of those “jump on the bandwagon” people anymore. If I did, I’d be paying hundreds of dollars that I could be spending elsewhere because almost every app wants you to pay more money to them on a monthly or annual basis.
I finally broke down and tried the middle package. It’s nice to be able to use multiple outputs but I’m still not sure I want to keep it. It’s still not worth it. It was a nice concept though.

Thanks for fixing the app, though!

### 2/5 — Good concept but personally not worth paying for.

I find broke down and tried the middle package. I’m still not sure I want to keep it though. It’s still not worth it. It was a nice concept though. Now it’s not working at all. The little circle is spinning and nothing is happening. I’ve tried deleting the app and reinstalling it and I’ve tried to restart the phone. I even tried to reset the password. Nothing is working.

### 1/5 — Does Not Work Teliably

*2026-07-09, version 4.111.0*

Was working for a while, all of a sudden the trigger to turn on the lights continues to work, but the trigger to turn of lights stopped

### 1/5 — “Lots of bug fixes”

*2026-07-09, version 4.111.0*

How many bugs were coded into this app?! is that all that can be achieved - fix the enormous amount of bugs / quality issues that were coded into it?? This app - over years - has not improved its UX or its UI - and certainly not to Apple’s recent operating systems UXs in the last couple years. And I do not own an android device. Why does this app make me feel like I’m using an android device?!

### 1/5 — Total junk

*2026-07-03, version 4.110.1*

Pro gets you nothing but ads to pay more to get what you used to have. You can diy for cheaper now!

### 1/5 — Liars

*2026-07-02, version 4.110.1*

“Pay what you want” yeah right. Terrible company.

### 1/5 — Blink

*2026-06-29, version 4.110.1*

Blink - Kept fail i, no good I paid for it waist my time I am deaf when people ring my front door to blink light for access deaf people it is fail 🤷‍♂️

### 1/5 — …

*2026-06-20, version 4.110.0*

I have to pay…..

### 2/5 — Reliability?

*2026-06-13, version 4.110.0*

I created an Applet so that when the garage door opens a fan turns on and when the garage door closes the fan turns off. It works about half of the time. I’m using the free version. Kinda hard to justify spending money unless it works 100% of the time.

### 1/5 — Cannot get simple scripts to run

*2026-06-12, version 4.110.0*

Generated simple applets to turn on and off a WiFi-enabled AC unit with temperature triggers from my Nest thermostat. Everything’s connected, but the applets never activate.

### 1/5 — terrible now.

*2026-06-06, version 4.109.1*

this app used to be the best app, OK, now they want to make money so they started charging if you want to or more of pellets, understandable, but now one of them doesn’t work anymore although it was working before, and you can’t contact them through the help center either… I mean if you’re going to start charging at least keep it the same or make it better… It’s worse and they want you to pay…
Also the app could be a little bit more intuitive, hard to figure out sometimes

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Poor

*2026-08-08, version 4.113.1*

Poor customer service app didn’t work

### 1/5 — Poor Free Trial Policy

*2026-08-07, version 4.113.1*

There’s no communication that free trial will
Be expiring soon and charges the full amount without any recourse. Beware of this

### 1/5 — Two steps back

*2026-07-30, version 4.113.0*

Way to stop support for certain devices. Now I just need to figure out how to cancel my account cause I don’t need this app anymore since they’ve decided to go in a different direction and stop support for certain apps.

### 1/5 — Emails

*2026-07-24, version 4.112.0*

I’ve been unsubscribing from IFTTT emails for over a year now. They kept coming. I checked my web account multiple times to make sure all those boxes were unchecked.

Then I click delete my account on the website because I’m hoping the emails will stop.

I was then sent an email confirmation to delete my account. Confirming on my phone meant I had to then download the app.

That’s when I saw email preferences that only appear via app and not the website.

They were marked as “important alerts for your account” but those aren’t how I would describe the emails I was sent.

Now I can delete my account from the app though. I’m not verifying I wanted to delete my account btw. I have to reclick delete my account.

Edit: I selected delete my account, used my Passwords app for the IFTTT login (that I just used for the website and the app) and it said incorrect password. No deleted account.

### 1/5 — App doesn’t even load.

*2026-07-14, version 4.111.0*

I tried to contact via web but it’s seemingly impossible to if you’re not a Pro member.

App is buggy. I recently redownloaded it and it is stuck loading. Nothing responds to a tap.

### 1/5 — Doesn't load

*2026-07-14, version 4.111.0*

The app on iPhone doesn't load. It stucks in the loading screen and no response after that.

### 1/5 — Newer worse problem

*2026-07-14, version 4.111.0*

Now I can’t even log in. Delete and reinstall same problem - hangs in first screen. Maybe it doesn’t matter as apparently they’ve lost the Tapo functionality too.
Old:The underlying service is good, the Applets work correctly. I should be pretty happy, except that I now have to login to the web browser interface to connect Applets. If I do it in the app I get trapped in a loop of failed authorizations.

### 1/5 — iOS app is complete garbage.

*2026-07-13, version 4.111.0*

The latest update causes the iOS app to freeze with the spinning wheel of death. What a pile

### 1/5 — Not maintained in years

*2026-07-11, version 4.111.0*

This app is completely forgotten. Nothing works well, or at all. Same UI for the last 200 years. And the applets dont even load on iOS for weeks, nobody seems to be aware of that for some reason!
Avoid it at all costs! I'm looking for an alternative now.

### 1/5 — worst

*2026-07-11*

The app hasn’t been working at all since the latest update.

**Developer response:** Thanks for flagging this. The app not working at all after an update is something our iOS team will want to look into right away. Email support+ios@ifttt.com with your iOS version and what you see when the app opens, and we'll help you get running again.

Update: Our engineers shipped a fix in v4.111.1, could you please try updating and let us know.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Changed to 5 stars.

*2026-08-15, version 4.113.1*

I deleted my 3 star review because I was having issues with it not working. I have a dehumidifier in the garage that turns off when the door opens and turns back on when it closes. I had a TP-Link Kasa plug to control the dehumidifier. It turns out TP-Link stopped supporting IFTTT. The of course never announced that to users. So I blamed IfTTT. Well not their fault. Now using a Govee plug and all works as it should. I will reinstate my subscription as the problem was not due to IFTTT. It’s a great utility and I really like it.

### 5/5 — Premium Applets

*2026-08-05, version 4.113.1*

Very intuitive applet extentions

### 5/5 — Dependable

*2026-07-18, version 4.111.1*

I’ve used this app for over a year and this particular automation has saved me plenty of time.

### 5/5 — "THE" Supplemental Tool for Today's IoT . . .

*2026-06-07, version 4.109.1*

IFTTT has become the root of my IoT. From "Day One" of IFTTTs' inception it has presented aspects to solidify or extend IoT operations. Whether to build native Applets or supplement Applications that fall short of prime logical features needed for complete "routine" operations.

IFTTT has a good collection of tools from a myriad of vendors, independent creators and native services to facilitate or extend applet interactions or allow for interaction between vendors that don't integrate well with others or don't supply operations that complete or extend their own operations.

In ever changing environments where the need to "keep ahead of the curve" is imperative or to integrate the massive array of IoT Devices in existence or that become available every day, IFTTT is a Genius Product that allows you to get the most out of your investment in and use of your IoT Products allowing for the creation of "Real World" applications you need.

### 5/5 — Unverzichtbar

*2026-05-31*

Also meinerseits eine uneingeschränkte Empfehlung!

### 5/5 — Nicer if you reorder

*2026-05-24, version 4.109.0*

You can easy grow the list to many recipe, but the app don't let you reorder them. Easy enough.

### 5/5 — IFTTT

*2026-03-30, version 4.107.0*

It works great

### 5/5 — Amazing app

*2026-03-25, version 4.107.0*

Love the app and the experience. Great for planning and automating

### 5/5 — Gg

*2026-03-24, version 4.107.0*

Ggg
