You’ll be able to immediately recognize the mushrooms you find on your walk using a procedure that simplifies their identification and minimizes the possibility of error. You can browse the about 500 selected species wherever you are, viewing the photos, illustrated tables and detailed information providing more accurate identification and fun facts. You can even find single mushrooms by their names. The mushroom photos were taken by fans throughout the world. You can even have yours published by following the instructions on the support site. Very disappointing as I was hoping that it was an Australian based app it would be comprehensive, clear and easy to use. There are apps that are good for North America but sadly disappointed with this Australian app 😕 ### 1/5 — Magic mushroom left out of app! *2021-12-05, version 3.6* I like to go out and pick mushrooms on my friends land occasionally as a delicious snack. I was however unable to identify one of the most common varieties I found in summer and spring on this app as it is not listed! Panaeolus cyanescens, I later found they are called or the magic mushroom Blue Meanie! So do not download this app if you are hoping to head out mushroom picking and avoid magic mushrooms as there is no information on them. ### 3/5 — Has good info but rarely identify mushrooms *2021-04-17, version 3.6* The identity feature rarely works throughs up species that don’t fit your description and excludes other that obviously fit? The common names take you directly to the picture as one would expect. However when browsing the excellent images, only the Scientific name is given. Lacks “active” mushroom species and sometimes incorrectly labels them as “poisonous”. This is fine except they are not poisonous, but psychoactive.
