## What is iGarten?

Identify garden plants and discover more about them. Find suitable flowers for your house and garden. Detailed information on more than 3400 plants (and more than 24000 images) are available to you - anytime, even without internet connection.

You want to create a blue-white border for a garden in semi shade? 
iGarten prepares customized selections for your indvidual criteria. 

You can display this as list or as flowering calendar. Customized selections can be saved in a collection or mailed as pdf.


iGarten offers: 

Plant profiles for more than 3400 plants and 24000 images give information about 
- common and scientific names (with synonyms)
- family
- growing habit like height, flower colour and so forth
- ornamental value of fruits, autumn colouring and so forth
- foliation (like evergreen/deciduous, ornamental leaf colour)
- site factors like aspect, soil, habitats 
- plant hardiness zones

Design interesting plant compositions using our multiple combination options (free selection):
- select plant groups like ferns, herbs, bulbs, etc. 
- desired height
- flower colours, two choosable for colour combinations
- evergreen / deciduous plants
- moisture
- pH-value
- flowering times

- autumn colour: yellow/orange/red
- ornamental leaf: yellow/grey/variegated etc.

Horticulture students, (landscape) gardeners, facility managers, janitors etc. can practise their plant knowledge with iGarten's training mode. 
You have numerous options to select areas for practising, like "all herbaceous perennials" or "all ornamental grasses". You even can open customized training collections in the training box.

Plant information is valid for the Northern hemispheres warm temperate zone, but may vary regionally.

Ich habe bisher fast immer die spezielle Art bestimmen können. Auch mit wenigen Informationen gelingt eine Zuordnung.

Schade aber so geht man nicht mit treuen Kunden um! Dann lasst die Updates raus aber einfach die App ohne Abo nicht mehr nutzbar zu machen ist schon ziemlich frech.

Moin, ich habe die App gekauft und immer gerne benutzt. Das aus einem Kauf jetzt eine nutzlose App wird und ich ein Abo abschließen soll, finde ich unmöglich. Gerade da der Kaufpreis echt nicht günstig war. Ich werde die App deinstallieren und natürlich kein Abo abschließen.

Es fehlt doch tatsächlich die Kartoffel. Dass Inkarnatklee fehlt, finde ich noch verschmerzbar. Ebenso die Wildtomaten. 

Teilweise sind mir die Schriften zu klein und ich würde für mich nicht relevante Felder gerne ausblenden. Die Fülle an Informationen ist natürlich dennoch ein Pluspunkt. 

Schade, dass die Karte nur für die Schweiz gilt und sie nicht durch eine Community gefüllt werden kann. 

Schön finde ich, dass man zu vielen Eigenschaften auch weitere Infos abrufen kann. So erfährt man, was Winterhärte 9 bedeutet.

Ergänzung: Mittlerweile ist einige Zeit vergangen. Viel getan hat sich nicht, aber immerhin wird die App gepflegt. Toll fände ich eine Integration in die Spotlightsuche und eine macOS-Version.

Übe damit für mein Studium. Eignet sich perfekt dafür! Allerdings fehlen einige wichtige Arten und Sorten, die ich benötige. 
Die App hat tolle Funktionen.

Soetwas habe ich für meinen Schrebergarten geducht! Eine App die Stichpunktartig und sehr übersichtlich Informationen über eine Pflanze liefert.
Schön wäre es wenn man noch eigene Notizen an eine Pflanze anheften könnte ( oder geht das schon?)

If you're lucky to have the plant you're interested be in the app, it has moderately good information. The identification feature is what compelled me to get the app, but it is clunky and not helpful.
