My main complaint is that upon first opening it all I see is Apple articles. This app provides very brief notices of trends & hints that are interesting and useful. Was updated a week ago ### 5/5 — I hate asking Siri for help BUT… *2022-04-18, version 1.0.13* She directed me to 3 sites to find out how to eliminate message apps, I chose this one because It was the most recent. Problem was corrected easily. Then I browsed an article comparing two small phones. I thought it was unbiased and visually could show side by side differences when it was important. So I needed to replace my current 10 XR anyway and my favorite phone was the original 5S. I’m on a strict budget to eliminate frivolous purchases but I don’t replace my phone every year. Both of these phones I can buy for cash and come in well under the larger models. The information was very useful. I will return often. And come here first to solve problems. There’s nothing on there all it does show you what they want you to download these apps like TikTok, etc., etc. Every time I hit “guide” it crashes, did you get that? It CRASHES! C R A S H E S!! ### 1/5 — ADS EVERY 3-5 SECONDS! *2024-12-14, version 1.5* There was a time when this app was useful and provided legitimate insights for iPhone users. Those days are gone and now what you get are low grade articles that are mediocre at best, but with ADS EVERY 3 SECONDS. I actively timed the ads and you have between 3-5 seconds before whatever you are reading or scrolling through is interrupted by ads. Save yourself the frustration and just google what you would like to know, because aside from a handful of low quality wallpapers and repetitive tips you can find on just about every iPhone themed YouTube channel, you aren’t missing a thing. ### 1/5 — 1 inappropriate loud video ad = App DELETED *2024-03-10, version 1.3* 1 inappropriate loud video ad = App DELETED ### 1/5 — Worst ever now *2024-01-09, version 1.3* Worst ever now that they put in ads! AI types all this out and they’re laughing to the bank. This is the income they use while making a REAL APP. Give it up to them for playing us for a sec. Now every time the app opens it stops whatever you may be listening to for a video lesson. If this can be stopped from happening I don’t know and they don’t have an article for that. Then when going to an article a video ad comes on. Even with block pop ups this still happens. One must click the stop video or close x several times to get it to close. This doesn’t happen once but every time a new article is opened. Of course they don’t have instructions on how to stop that. I will await a response to this review but if they don’t instruct on how to fix these I’m deleting. The information is good but it’s not worth the aggravation. ### 3/5 — Fantastic stuff, but WAY TOO MANY NOTIFICATIONS *2023-11-13, version 1.1* I really like a few of the articles and tips. Most of the content is not applicable to me, and there’s a lot of nearly-redundant content, like a rundown of the best stylish case for the iPhone 15, followed by the best full-protection cases for the iPhone 15, followed by the best stylish cases for the iPhone 15pro max, followed by… well, you get the drift. Given the number of iPhone variants, they could have many stories that are nearly the same, but only one will apply to you. But boy o boy, when they get a good article, it can open up new possibilities that you weren’t sure you could even do on your iPhone, or fix a problem that’s been really bugging you. There is some fantastic content available once you wade through the filler. My biggest beef is the inappropriately frequent notifications. There’s only on or off, so I can’t tell the app to only bug me once a day. I’m just about ready to uninstall, since I can get all of the content online… Actually, I think I just taped myself into uninstalling. I may miss a couple of articles I’d otherwise enjoy, but I know where to go when I need to find the iGeeks online. When I purchased a new iPhone and Apple Watch rather than wait for an overnight time machine transfer I found myself going to download this app as one of the first things. Being at the App Store I thought I’d comment as I always read the comments but rarely do I think I have anything worth contributing. There are so many apps and accessories (ie battery cases, Apple Pencil sustitutes and more ) how is one to choose? The straight forward side by side comparisons of so many things is invaluable. They don’t rate everything but I’ve come to rely on what they do rate and I always check here first.
