Tarada mucho en actualizarse y queda obsoleta. Por ejemplo, se acaba de actualizar este mes, sin embargo no tiene compatibilidad con la MacOS, lo que si otras app se han preocupado. However, I have been waiting for them to add Hardy and Laszloffy (1995) ideas of a Cultural Genogram for several years now. Allowing the use of colour would significantly improve the app. ### 4/5 — Ja, aber… *2021-12-17, version 1.9.18* Die App macht einen guten Job. Etwas umständlich in der Bedienung hier und da steht sie doch erhaben über der Option das Genogramm per Hand zu erstellen, denn wenn da doch noch eine Person im Nachhinein auftaucht, die nicht eingeplant war, dann macht es einem das Papier einfach schwierig. Es gibt allerdings zwei Optionen, die mir dringend fehlen: - Verbindungen der Beziehungsebene können wunderbar eingetragen werden, super gut wäre es aber, diese auf Wunsch ausblenden zu können, alleine schon, um die Übersichtlichkeit partiell etwas erhöhen zu können. - Das Genogramm lässt sich problemlos als *.pdf exportieren. Nur eine Legende, welche Art von Linien wofür steht, die lässt sich nicht einfügen. Schade, das würde doch noch einmal deutlich helfen, gerade, wenn man in Fallbesprechungen etc. auch die KollegInnen schnell mit einem Bild versorgen möchte. ### 2/5 — Bom, mas precisa de algumas atualizações *2018-05-25, version 1.9.11* O programa é bem mas sugiro ao desenvolvedor duas atualizações: - exportar como imagem, JPEG e TIFF, para ampliar o uso dos diagramas - salvar em formatos Genpro, para que possa ser editado em outros programas em desktop, do contrário o levantamento de pesquisa não pode ser aperfeiçoado. ### 3/5 — Useful but... *2018-02-05, version 1.9.11* This is a fantastic app for use in my work but the fact that it’s impossible to attribute a child to a single parent and not to a couple is appalling. ### 3/5 — Great App - Some limitations and Quirks *2016-03-21, version 1.9.5* Very useful app, if you are only going to be doing genograms on your iPad. There is no ability (that I can find) to import genograms into the app. Therefore, if you use a desktop app (I use Genopro) there is no way to exchange information between the platforms. This is limiting. The other, less significant, issue is that there is a lot of tapping one has to do to add people, relationships, etc. Not a huge deal, but I find myself frustrated by the number of steps it takes to get individuals into the diagram and related to others. Some defaults would be a nice feature to cut down on this. That said, if you're only using the iPad for genograms, this is a useful app with great features and a relatively intuitive interface. ### 5/5 — Excelente *2016-02-13, version 1.9.5* Excelente aplicación aún se puede mejorar, Recomendada muy útil. Four stars only because there is still room for improvement and robustness. A few things it still needs: - Ability to designate triangles and coalitions - Ability to add a person to more than one household - ability to date the start and end of relationships - ability to specifically designate what illness a person has, either psychological or physical - ability to designate/identify multiple illnesses - ability to designate what a person died from - ability to show marriage date and hide birthdate - change substance abuse to substance use disorder per the DSM5) or other addiction and ad ability to specifically identify substance or addiction - ability to designate multiple addictions or substance use disorders Thanks! ### 2/5 — Does not save data *2015-10-07, version 1.9.2* I bought this after it was personally recommended and I read the reviews. I can only assume my colleague was using a previous version because this one is useless. I am a psychotherapist and this would - if it worked - be invaluable. There is no 'save' option so I assumed data was saved automatically. Big mistake. Huge. I have spent hours (completely wasted) inputting several client's family dynamics but in most cases, if I close the iPad and re-open it later, almost nothing has been saved. I have no control at all over this. I contacted the developer and was told that I should not put too much information in at once! How much is "too much"? How do I know when I have exceeded the App's capability? How often do I need to re-visit each client's file to input a little bit of data ..? I am prepared to wait and see if the issue is dealt with since clearly this should be a very good product - but until this is resolved, the current version is useless for any professional user. ### 5/5 — Questa app è bellissima... *2015-09-22, version 1.9.2* ... e fino a iOS 8 funzionava ottimamente. In effetti, come da avviso, con iOS 9 non è possibile salvare il lavoro e quando la si riapre è tutto sparito. Vi prego davvero di risolvere presto! Aggiornamento: bug risolto velocemente. Ora però duplicando un genogramma mi sono ritrovato sia l'originale che la copia "corrotti", cioè ad un punto molto precedente rispetto a dove ero arrivato... ### 5/5 — die einzig vernünftige Umsetzung einer Genogramm Software *2015-07-22, version 1.8.4* Ich arbeite im psychosozialen Bereich und arbeite sehr häufig mit Genogrammen. Jahrelang habe ich nach einer vernünftigen Software Umsetzung gesucht. Die wenigen, die es für PC gibt, sind in meinen Augen unbrauchbar. Diese hier ist intuitiv und ich habe sogar noch viele graphische Gestaltungsmöglichkeiten (z.b. verschiede Linien für unterschiedliche Beziehungsformen) lernen. Mir hilft die Software sehr. I have found it completely useless. I am not able to get beyond the most basic relationships. Editing an existing relationship or individual (e.g. to deceased) is clumsy and in some cases just impossible. I have had repeatedly referred to the help page and am still frustrated. This app is not intuitive at all. I have never spent $14.99 on an app and will never do so again. I should have saved the money and just drew it by hand -which is what I will wind up doing anyhow. ### 1/5 — Frustrating *2017-01-29, version 1.9.5* This app looks good, appears to have all the right features, but - despite some meagre instructions - I can't get it to work easily, I just keep making a mess because it isn't clear in any way how to go about doing a Genogram. Waste of money ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Pretty helpful *2024-06-28, version 1.9.18* This app saved me a ton of time. It’s pretty easy to figure out the controls, and if you need some guidance, there are enough instructions on screen to guide you. I don’t know if all of the symbols and characters for genograms are included, but for my project it was sufficient. I do not know where I can adjust fonts and sizes. If there is not an option that would be something to add. ### 5/5 — What a gem *2023-01-26, version 1.9.18* As a psychologist, I use genograms all the time. I have looked at a few software genograms makers, and never felt they offered value for money. iGenogram is different. Once you get the hang of the interface, it is really easy to create fantastic genograms. At first I just thought it was basic relationships and then I stumbled on the relationship quality page. Amazing! I will be using this in every case from now on, so it is money well spent. I only have three suggestions for improvement. 1/ I would like to be able to drag down from a marriage to make a generation of siblings. 2/ I would like to have the option to display current ages calculated from birth dates (for children under ten in year:month format) 3/ there should be a relationship style for dependent relationships. I really hope this app gets the recognition (and sales) it deserves. A fantastic, and invaluable piece of coding. ***Update**** Still using this on every forensic case I do. A recent update added ages calculated from DoB. Fantastic! I have a couple more wishes now. Smaller margins (so bigger genograms) in the report. I annotate mine during interviews, so they can get a bit cramped. Second, often I know someone's age, but will never know their DoB - so it would be great if I could add the former without the latter. Keep up the good work! Update for new version ** Latest version even better, and my wish list has been granted. Only two more wishes now 1) I would like direction arrows on the relationships . Just today I am working on a case with sibling abuse, and without terminal arrows, it is impossible to show who abused who, and who was the victim. 2) I would like a custom relationship style for those particularly odd relationships in some families. Some of the existing ones I never use, so the ability to redefine in prefs would be good. *******Update******* I now have directional relationships! ### 5/5 — Wirklich Ausgezeichnet! *2022-06-28, version 1.9.18* Diese App finde ich als Tool zur Orientierung in systemischen Beratungs- und Therapiekontexten exzellent. Für mich war der Einstieg gut verständlich mit flacher Lernkurve. Symbole und Verbindungen scheinen systemischen Standards gerecht zu werden bzw. sind nachvollziehbar. Es lässt sich sogar eine kontextbzogene Legende erzeugen. Für den aktuellen Preis von ca. 15,00 Euro ist das wirklich viel! Ich könnte mir noch folgende zusätzliche Möglichkeiten vorstellen: - Die Möglichkeit einzelne Verbindungen ausblenden zu können - Installation dieser IOS-App unter macOS mit M1 Prozessor (müsste eigentlich 'ganz einfach' umsetzbar sein ...) - die Möglichkeit zur freien Definition einer emotionalen Verbindung - Exportmöglichkeit auch für PowerPoint - ein Optionales Symbol für "verheiratet" (liegende 8) ### 5/5 — Shout out to Diaysha Cole *2021-04-06, version 1.9.16* If it wasn’t for our classmate Diaysha Cole we could have not known about this amazing app. As a counseling student I have used this app A TON! It has been very easy to use and super helpful in creating Genogram’s for our patients that we see on a daily basis. Again, this would not be possible without the hard earned work of our classmate D. Anfangs fehlten dieser App noch so einige Symbole und Verknüpfungen, was sehr ärgerlich war. Der Entwickler war aber an den Nutzerwünschen sehr interessiert und hat nach und nach eine sehr gute App geschaffen. Auf iOS ohne ernstzunehmende Konkurrenz und im Handling auch den mir auf Computern bekannten Programmen deutlich überlegen. Bei dieser App geht es um eine professionelle und übersichtliche Darstellung von Beziehungs- und Familienzusammenhängen und weniger um die sonst übliche Stammbaumdarstellung für die private „Ahnenforschung“. ### 5/5 — Schnell und gut *2018-07-02, version 1.9.11* Im Preisleistungsverhältnis sicherlich das Beste und völlig ausreichend. Gute Exportmöglichkeiten und Berabeitungsoptionen.
