### 4/5 — Excellent tho quirky

*2026-04-04, version 10.9.9*

This is a great app. Very useful. But it’s got a significant learning curve partially for its advanced features, so you must invest a fair amount of time. It will pay dividends if you do. It’s not the most intuitive and the way it works isn’t the most seamless of designs but once you know it works it’s pretty functional. Has some bugs and unpredictable behavior. With the latest OS update, editing charts is more difficult and cumbersome. It’s also not always consistently responsive to screen Taps, sometimes slow to respond and sometimes crashes mysteriously, so that’s annoying and somewhat dysfunctional. Sharing and exporting importing doesn’t always work smoothly. If some of these things could be improved, I’d give it 5 stars.

### 3/5 — Doesn't sync across multiple iPads

*2025-12-21, version 10.9.9*

I've been using this app for many years and enjoy some of its features, however, it could be more user-friendly. I still have yet to figure out how to use the PDF indexing correctly. I hope that the developer will figure out an easy way to sync multiple iPads. This would help great for bands who use many devices for hired musicians.

### 3/5 — App is buggy

*2025-11-29, version 10.9.8*

Still having same issues and bugs that haven’t been addressed since I bought this app years ago. Putting pdfs in a setlist only loads the first page and skips to the next pdf on page turn… Loading in a new pdf shows a completely different pdf on first open. Like come on. Some pdfs despite being more than 1 page ONLY load 1 page on import.

Can we get these issues fixed please? Or are these issues going to continue to get ignored.

### 4/5 — The Go To app for the fake books

*2025-08-07, version 10.9.2*

I use iGigBook on almost every gig. Some suggestions for improvement:
1) Make it easier to see the file name an index applies to. Wrong pdf file names cause headaches.
2) Make it easier to share individual charts.
3) Display the missing file name when a set list references a missing file
4) Find a way to handle books that include photo pages between some charts. Indexing gets thrown off.

### 5/5 — A learning curve but great app

*2025-05-22, version 10.9*

The app is little difficult to get the hang of but the support will always help direct you through the forum.

### 5/5 — Best way to view common fake books

*2025-05-15, version 10.9*

In the old days, I would bring eight different real books to a gig, in a shoulder bag weighing 10 to 15 pounds. No more. Now I can carry 30 in a single iPad. IGigBook features indexes to the most common fake books, which allows for a quick search of song titles. So no more thumbing through pages to try to find a song. That, plus the ability to quickly generate playlists and share them,Make it an in valuable tool to any working jazz musician.

### 5/5 — Love it

*2025-03-23, version 10.9*

Great for live gigs ,and whenever there’s a vacant piano in the room!

### 5/5 — Amazing tool.

*2025-03-01, version 10.9*

Great app for any gigging player.

### 5/5 — Good tunes

*2025-02-13, version 10.9*

All of my tunes in one place ready to review or perform. No heavy books or xeroxed sheets to blow off my music stand. Play along with the tunes from iTunes collection. Great professional and educational tool

### 2/5 — Could be great!

*2025-02-07, version 10.8*

I have been using a different app for my gigs. iGig Book solves so many of the organizational shortcomings of this unnamed app (comes before “and seven years ago”). But both the manual and Bluetooth page turn options are at best unintuitive and at worst unfathomable. I have yet to find a setting that allows me to use my Bluetooth foot pedal for horizontal page turns. So many apps have a horizontal page turn option. Am I missing something? It’s not a total deal breaker, but close.

### 5/5 — Dream Program

*2025-01-16, version 10.8*

After proper setup, it’s a musician’s dream. No more carrying a big suitcase.

### 4/5 — A great tool for jazz musicians

*2024-12-31, version 10.7*

iGigBook is a great tool for jazz musicians, and anyone who can benefit from a lead-sheet organizer/indexing app. The ability to search by song title and composer is very convenient for song research and jam sessions.

### 5/5 — Fantastic

*2024-12-28, version 10.7*

If you are tired of being burdened carrying a lot of fake books and want to clear up space on your bookshelf this the app for you. Perfect for practice and performance. IGig Book does more than I am able to describe. Once you use it you will never want to be without it.

### 5/5 — Awesome

*2024-12-28, version 10.7*

One of my most used apps. It's just smart. Initial set up was time consuming but TOTALLY worth it. Simply the BEST chart management app, and I have tried them all. This is the one to buy.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Instructions for downloading transposable book doesn’t work.

*2026-08-12, version 10.9.9*

I can’t get Bob’s book downloaded. It doesn’t give me a green download button like the video shows.

### 1/5 — Tons of work to get up and running

*2026-03-23, version 10.9.9*

This program comes with very little music, which is OK, I have a bunch of Realbooks in PDF. The problem is getting them into iGigbook is a major pain, and these guys have set the record for world’s worst documentation. You know the saying: bad documentation is better than no documentation. Not so. Turns out wrong and misleading documentation is even worse. I am currently so sorry I bought this.

### 1/5 — Scam

*2026-03-18, version 10.9.9*

This is deceptive advertising. Not what it seems through the app star. Want my money back

### 1/5 — Worst app ever

*2025-12-23, version 10.9.9*

Clunky interface, non-functional indexing, non-helpful Help files. A virtual boat anchor.

### 1/5 — So painful to use

*2025-10-17, version 10.9.7*

Nice app 20 years ago, but it is so painful to get it to see the pdf files. I don’t think anyone is really working on this. It would be okay if it were a free app but you do have to pay for it.

### 1/5 — Awkward

*2025-10-12, version 10.9.7*

Very, very cumbersome to set up. Having been out for many years now, this should be much easier.

### 1/5 — Stay away from this app and developer.

*2024-07-17, version 10.4*

Old indexes that no one needs. No updates. Useless app with terrible help and technical support. Hidden fees for necessary functions.
Forscore is much better option in almost every aspect.

### 1/5 — Buyer beware no free trial.

*2024-06-06, version 10.2*

This app does not come with music nor does it help you add any. Its a filing system YOU place YOUR scanned charts into. References to fake books with their cover art is misleading as it insinuates the app comes with these tunes or provides a way of adding them. It does not. This app is the last thing a professional musician needs. Its another waste of time and money.
After several emails to the app developers I have formed the view theirs is a sophisticated con extending to fraudulent reviews. I got caught as theres no free trial. If there was a free trial no-one would buy this app its that useless.
No free trial? Buyer beware.

### 1/5 — Clunky software

*2024-03-06, version 9.8*

I use this app, but don’t enjoy it. It is clunky. The transposing melody function which is quite expensive doesn’t work at all. The files don’t even appear after you have followed all instructions. Takes hours to do anything useful—not good for gigs where you need it instantly.

### 1/5 — Zero Stars

*2024-02-10, version 9.7*

This app is useless. Full of glitches. Impossible to import PDFs easily impossible to delete a long list of book indexes that have no PDFs and yet it won’t let you delete them even though they are not usable for any purpose, perhaps the most aggravating glitch build app I’ve ever tried complete waste of money.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Great app with robust support

*2026-05-18, version 10.9.9*

With help from their forum and costumer support the app is easy to learn. It’s slightly more expensive than other apps but the cost is well worth it for the many tools available.

### 5/5 — Wonderful Tool

*2026-04-03, version 10.9.9*

Well thought out with a SIMPLE learning curve.

### 5/5 — The best music manager

*2026-02-07, version 10.9.9*

I love it. So smart, clear, and reliable. Thank you for such a wonderful app,

### 5/5 — Amazing tool.

*2026-01-12, version 10.9.9*

Great app for any gigging player.

### 5/5 — The best sheet music manager!

*2025-12-28, version 10.9.9*

There is no better app for managing your music collection. Easy to use and has yet to fail me on the hundreds of gigs and rehearsals I’ve used it. The book indexes make it easy to find any song no matter what PDF it is in and the many export options makes it easy to share music with both iGigBook users and non-users. Keep up the good work!

### 5/5 — It does the job for me

*2025-10-26, version 10.9.7*

Love it. Get it

### 5/5 — iGigbooks

*2025-09-25, version 10.9.5*

iGigbooks! Don’t know what I’d do without it! iGigbooks has sped up all my musical tasks, from setlist sharing to transposing fake books, making my own books, and playing requests of songs I may not know.

Thank you iGigbooks

### 5/5 — Still the best!

*2025-09-11*

I do a bunch of musical theater and you always have a situation where you need to make edits and iGigBook covers everything. Need to block out large sections? No problem. Need to pull a system from another number? The new cut & paste feature makes that really easy. Need to annotate with your pencil or finger? iGigBook has you covered. I’ve been gigging with this app for over 15 years and it’s still getting better.

### 5/5 — Good tunes

*2025-08-06, version 10.9.2*

All of my tunes in one place ready to review or perform. No heavy books or xeroxed sheets to blow off my music stand. Play along with the tunes from iTunes collection. Great professional and educational tool

### 5/5 — Best Prog for pro musicians

*2025-06-05, version 10.9.1*

No more carrying a satchel of books. And the transpose feature is awesome !
