The app could be improved by showing the track flown, i.e. both out and return in addition to the track displayed to a destination. This is would be particularly useful while flying in blue wave.
The map page used to add area has no maps available to download.  Who’s minding the app support?  This is unacceptable for an app that costs more than $100!

**Developer response:** iGlide will have a more active development now by me, with more frequent updates. Sorry to hear you had this problem in the past. Please try the latest update and create a support ticket if any issues stil remain. Also create a support ticket if you have more detailed feature requests, as I am really interested in your suggestions.

J’utilise cette application depuis maintenant 2 ans. Elle me sert à savoir déterminer quels sont les terrains qui sont dans mon local. Cela fonctionne bien en France. J’ai un seul regret, le calcul ne prend pas en compte le vent. C’est rare mais quelques fois j’ai du redémarrer le moteur !

Update July 2020:

Well they’ve updated it! It’s not dead.

On the bright side, the map data downloads again, and it’s been moved so it doesn’t let iOS automatically purge map data to free up space any more. That’s good! 

Unfortunately: it no longer records my flights! It used to automatically add flights to the “logbook” but this no longer works, all flight GPS data is lost when you close the app and cannot be exported. I’ve lost three days worth of flight data this weekend. 

Previous problem still exists: No “cancel” when tapping a map data time. Only “delete” or “reload”. This is a huge problem for the USA map because the buttons are tiny. See below. 

Sadly, with the loss of the GPS data recording function, I now cannot use this app at all now, and will have to find a replacement. I will keep an eye out for updates though.

This was a great glide computer. Sadly the map data doesn’t seem to be downloadable any more. 

My most major complaint was that the app stores its map and airport/airspace data in a location that iOS automatically purges, so pretty much every time you use this app you have to redownload the map data, which is pretty tedious (the download screen had extremely small buttons and if you “missed” your only option was “delete” or “download again”—frustrating!). 

Sadly I can not recommend this app since it appears to be abandoned (no update in over two years) and no longer downloads map data at all.

The app is now on 2.7.1 as of yesterday, and Air Avionics says it is committed to more improvements in the next few months. All data is updated and available.

Es wurde mit dem Update der ein oder andere Fehler gehoben, aber leider nicht alle.
Besonders störend sind immer noch die über einander gelegt den Schriften in denTMZ Zonen. Man kann dadurch leider den Text und die Frequenzen und Codes nicht lesen.

Allumfassend eine tolle App für Segelflieger! Neue Frequenzen und sonstige Änderungen kommen zuverlässig und schnell, allerdings fände ich es gut wenn es auch regelmäßige Neuerungen/ Updates gäbe (z.B. Unterstützung von mehr Hardware etc.). Deswegen ein Stern Abzug.

Leider leider. So eine tolle App aber das Potenzial des iPhone X wird durch den fehlenden Support nicht ausgeschöpft. 5 Sterne gibts bei iPhone X Support.

Sehr gute App zur Navigation 
Sehr zu empfehlen solange man kein neues Apple Gerät besitzt. 
Wird Zeit dass die App ins Jahr 2019 geholt wird und entsprechend den neuen Auflösungen der X Serie angepasst wird.

Habe die App auf dem iPhone XR laufen und sie ist 1.etwas unscharf und 2. Nur auf vielleicht 60% des Displays abgebildet. Oben und unten ist der restliche Bildschirm einfach schwarz. Wann wird dies optimiert, dass auf dem ganzen Display die App erscheint, wie bei Google Maps?

Ich bin eigentlich grosser Fan der App, habe auch die Pro Version und bin jetzt etwas enttäuscht, dass der grössere Bildschirm nicht unterstützt wird. Das wird jetzt nach über einem Jahr mal Zeit!

Seems like it could be very useful but learning to use this app while flying could be distracting.  

It would be helpful if it could be used in conjunction with x-plane.

Built in simulator makes a useful learning tool. Very useful and powerful app.

Ich finde die Software richtig gut aber das letzte Update ist schon über ein Jahr her! Und es wird vor allem bei dem Preis Zeit das iPhone X zu unterstützen!!!

Auf meinem Alten IPhone (6s Plus) lief alles einwandfrei. Doch auf dem neuen (iPhone X) sehe ich nichts mehr, sprich die Karte ist einfach weg und in den Einstellungen kann ich auch nichts mehr verändern. Schade hoffe dies wird behoben

Lange kamen keine Updates mehr. Support fürs iPhone X wäre doch mal angebracht. Bin selber iOS Entwickler und das ist wirklich keine Arbeit.

I’ve worked with this for months but now have given up. Can’t get a valid IGC file out, constantly crashes and reboots, no updates in years.  They’re taking money but doing nothing. I don’t believe anyone is really still using this.  Newer iOS probably killed it.

Wenn man iGlide mal 2 Tage nicht benutzt löschen sich alle Karten. Und das schon seit längerer Zeit. Ich hatte gehofft, das es nach dem letzten Update nicht mehr passiert. Aber leider funktioniert es immer noch nicht. 
Wäre schön wenn das endlich mal in den Griff bekommen wird!! 
Von der Funktion her finde ich die App super und würde bei Behebung der Fehler auch auf Advanced upgraden.

Letztes Update vor über zwei Jahren. Seither keine Änderungen. Keine Anpassung an die letzten iOS -> keine Anpassung an Bildschirm, alte Schrift, altes Layout.

Es gibt viel zu verbessern, gerade die Menüführung ist teils gewöhnungsbedürftig. Leider hat es seit Ewigkeiten kein Update mehr gegeben. Wird wohl nicht weiterentwickelt.

I purchased iglide light from the App Store. 
Later upgraded through the iGlide App menu, Buy Upgrades, to 
iGlide Pro. I flew my glider last year very well with this App. 
This year the i glide Pro has reverted back to iGlide Lite!
Cannot find support to help me.

I’m another Aussie and emailed the company who assured me there are Aussie maps.. so downloaded it last night... no maps, no support...

I am in Australia and unfortunately when I purchased the app and opened it no map loads.  Checked options and don’t see a place to download one. 
Also when I go to the website address listed here for support it just sends me to a page selling a powered Flarm, nothing to do with the app.

Die App wurde seit mehr als einem Jahr nicht mehr upgedated, von den schlecht aufgelösten Karten kriegt man Augenkrebs. Wieso gibt es keine Vektorgrafiken als Karten wie bei Skydemon? Auch wird das IPhone X immer noch nicht unterstützt. Hier wurde die Chance vertan eine wirklich gute App zu entwickeln. Leider gibt es keine wirkliche Alternative, das ist das allertraurigste.

Zuverlässig seit vielen Jahren zum Segelflug egal in welchem Typ und egal in welchem Land Europas. 
Pinch to zoom ist deutlich besser einen Überblick zu haben als im LX. Zum Glück wird es weiterentwickelt, danke!

Ich habe mir zunächst iGlide light zum Testen gekauft und war von der Benutzerfreundlichkeit und Qualität der App sofort begeistert, weshalb ich auf die Pro-Version „upgegradet“ habe, um die volle Funktionalität nutzen zu können. Seit mehreren Jahren nutze ich iGlide auf meinem iPhone 6 und will es nicht mehr missen. Die Funktionalität, Bedienung und sehr flexibel konfigurierbare Darstellung aller möglichen Dinge ist schon richtig beeindruckend. Sie läuft absolut stabil und ohne Probleme. Bisher habe ich meine Flüge als freie Flüge ins OLC gemeldet, indem ich mein Power-Flarm mit Butterfly-Display über den USB-Stick ausgelesen und die IGC-Datei vom PC hochgeladen habe. Seit ein paar Tagen beschäftige ich mich mit deklarierten Flügen und Flugaufgaben, die ich ins Power-Flarm laden möchte. Dabei habe ich festgestellt, dass iGlide pro fast alles für die Deklaration bereits mitbringt und auch Aufgaben, flexibel konfigurierbare Wendepunkte mit Sektoren, Zylindern usw. beherrscht und nach FAI-Regeln darstellen und im Flug verfolgen kann. Jetzt fehlt mir nur noch die Möglichkeit, eine Flarm-Konfigurationsdatei aus der Aufgabe zu erstellen und auf den PC übertragen zu können, damit man diese per USB-Stick auf das Power-Flarm bekommt und die Datei nicht parallel erzeugen muss mit der Gefahr, dass die Koordinaten der Sektoren und Start-/Landelinien zwischen Flarm-Deklaration und iGlide eventuell nicht übereinstimmen und die Aufgabe damit nicht ordnungsgemäß erledigt werden konnte, obwohl in iGlide alles grün dargestellt wurde. Die Übertragung könnte beispielsweise per Webserver-Funktion geschehen, wie beim Übertragen der IGC-Dateien. Ich würde mich freuen, wenn diese Funktion bei einem späteren Update noch ergänzt würde, aber ich kann diese App schon in der vorliegenden Version wärmstens empfehlen.

Ich liebe iGlide! Bisher habe ich noch kaum Funktionen vermisst, setze aber auch die Pro Version ein. Auch ich würde mich sehr über ein Update freuen. Ein Wechsel auf die aktuellen iPhones X Xs ist gerade wegen des OLEDs interessant und jetzt nach der Vorstellung der neuen iPhones wäre ein guter Zeitpunkt. 
Wenn bei dieser Gelegenheit auch die kleinen Wehwehchen behoben werden könnten, wie der nicht mehr funktionierende Dropbox Abgleich oder die Synchronisation der Flarm IGC Daten, dann wären bestimmt viele, die in diese Software investiert haben überglücklich. 
Man setzt ja ungern auf ein Pferd, das nicht mehr richtig versorgt wird...

This app is very nice, it’s great for airspace awareness and has a voice alert.  I have upgraded to the advance version so I could get winds aloft.  I’ve also added the WiFi connect device to use my C302 data directly in the app.  I see comments on how difficult it is to use, but honestly I don’t see anything that’s  tricky about this software.  I created a polar version for my glider, and only download the maps you need. I use it on a 5c iPhone because it fits next to my panel.
Highly recommend!

I purchased iGlide lite, liked it, and upgraded to iGlide Pro.  On my iPhone 6S, the moving map has good brightness, contrast and resolution.  In flight, my Cambridge 302 digital vario sends data to my iPhone via Air Avionic's 'Air Connect' Wi-Fi interface unit.  Works great!

Die lite Version ist ideal für Sparfüchse. Sie hat alles was man benötigt für eine sichere Navigation durch unseren Luftraum und einen super Endanflugrechner. Alles was die pro Versionen bieten kann man im für umme im Kopf/Gesäß lösen. Benutze es auch wunderbar im UL als Avoid Airspace.

I have used the app for a few months and am very happy with app. Very stable reliable app. I use it only as a backup for if my glider instruments fail. This app would fine to use as primary navigation. Recommended!

Excellent product! So easy to use, very intuitive.  I love all the nav boxes, especially the SUA vertical profile.  Great database.  This product is ahead of its time.  I use to use CUMobile, but love that this works on iPhone and iPad too!  One less device to carry.  I also got the air connect to interface it (wirelessly) to a Cambridge 302.
About support - awesome! I got my questions answered in less then 1/2 day!
