So it‘s impossible for me to comment or look at comment replies. The problem exists for YEARS now and nothing happens. So i will stop using ign and switch to another service. If I want to leave a comment, it takes me to the login screen. I log in, go back to the comment, and it takes me back to the login screen. It’s a vicious circle. The only way to fix this issue is to, completely delete the app, and reinstall it. It works for a few days before the same issue returns. So, if I want to comment on any article, I need to reinstall the app at least once a week. To top it off, I’m a paying subscriber… ### 3/5 — Love IGN. Or rather it used to be. It’s utterly broken. I can’t comment. I can’t like. It tells me to sign in even though I’m signed in. People literally have created new accounts with usernames like “I CANT SIGN IN.” Yeah, that’s how broken their app is. So I can’t interact with comments at all. I’ve paid for their ign plus service for a decade now. Maybe longer. Joke is on me. They just want your money. Over half the site is SEO garbage anyway filled with affiliate links and endless articles about chairs and desks and subscription services and more SEO slop. But that’s not the worse thing. GET RID OF THE ‘FOR YOU’ PAGE. It’s awful. None of it is relevant to me and it’s all articles from months ago. None of it is recent. It’s all from months and months ago and isn’t even remotely useful to me. Right now it’s all articles from freaking December. December. Almost 5 months ago. It’s awful. Get rid of it. Don’t fix it, just get rid of it. I HATE having to immediately tap “latest” to get the latest news because the stupid for you page is the first thing you see. I cannot overstate how much I detest this ‘for you’ slop. This isn’t TikTok. At least move it to the end so latest is the first feed I see. I’m so frustrated that IGN doesn’t care at all about this broken app. Don’t download it, just go find another app or website. Basically only have the app for the news, but once I find another medium I’m done with this app. When I log in, it tells me to log in again and again, tried to update the app, tried to uninstall and reinstall and same issue. You will have ads permanently even if you pay to remove them like I did then the app will be malfunctioned and if you try to scroll, it’s gonna skip multiple pages and revert you back to the top because of you paid to remove the ads don’t give them any of your money you’ve been warned. I have suffered many years and there is no fix. I’ve contacted their Support and they said it sucks for you. After troubleshooting, they can find an answer years I passed nothing has ever been fixed. There is no way to undo it. I redownload the app and it still locks me out. Ridiculous. I clicked the wrong button and now the app won’t let me in. Uninstalled multiple times and still can’t access. Recently however they have started introduced adult ads into the app and it’s completely unacceptable for an app primarily targeted at young adults and underage children. 2 I have always used filter by newest and it just doesn’t care. The “for you” section isn’t curated very well and the ratio of ad promotions and what not to actual articles is way out of balance. What a shame…. I can literally scroll on this app for 5 minutes straight before I see anything interesting…. Then if I want to comment on something, I can’t even login…. My guess is IGN got in their chest about people commenting on articles about how pointless they were. First, the content still deserve 5 stars. The app I don’t mind the visual change. The two things that really bug me and I stopped using it because of that are: 1- when you hit back after reading something you go all the way back up the feed, then you need to searching back down for other fresh news 2- not possible to move between article by swiping side, it’s a quality of life design issue but I feel it’s missing.
