### 3/5 — Simply does not work

*2020-12-30, version 4.0.3*

Hi so i got my watch a few days ago and i tried to watch videos it does not work and it takes so long to add a contact then it just does not work it kicks me out of app and yeah fix these bugs please!!

### 2/5 — Not Particularly Reliable

*2019-06-14, version 3.2*

I speak from the experience of using the app several times a day over many months. I purchased an Ambygear GPS watch to track my developmentally disabled son. I have observed the following the following issues with the iGPS app:

1. I set the app for refresh location every 5 minutes. That does not happen at all. I have to do a force refresh to attempt to locate him.

2. Force refresh does not always work. Very often it gives me an old location with a current time stamp (this has been a more recent problem).

People might be expecting a “Find My iPhone” type experience. iGPS is nothing like that. I get inaccurate location data far too often. Needs a fix!

### 2/5 — GPS not up to date

*2018-09-11, version 3.01*

I purchased this watch for my son specifically for the gps tracking. However, it doesn’t work. It will show my son’s last location as home when he’s been at school for over an hour. I hit refresh numerous times and it still doesn’t update.

### 5/5 — Great Service

*2018-09-05, version 3.01*

I love the new features in the updated app. Makes it so much easier to track my children’s location when they are away from me! I can call, text and send voicemails to them all through the app! Highly recommend.

### 3/5 — Voice messaging

*2018-08-25, version 2.71*

When will voice messaging feature be working? My child can send voice messages from the wizard watch, but the iPhone app won’t let me listen. It says my app needs to be updated, despite me having the latest version of the app according to App Store. Suggestions?? Been waiting for 7 months for this feature to work.

### 5/5 — LOVE IT!

*2018-08-05, version 2.71*

I have bought many other GPS watches and used other apps, the Wizard watch and iGPS App are by far the best on the market! This is the only company that offers full servicing with their product besides Verizon. Verizon’s watch is like your child is wearing a house arrest bracelet because it’s enormous on a child’s wrist.

Thank you for the awesome product! Well done iGPS.

### 5/5 — We love it!!

*2018-04-28, version 2.71*

We recently bought the watch as a birthday gift for my daughter and she won’t take it off her wrist 😂. The app works as described, it seems iGPS has made many improvements because it works flawlessly for us! Thank you for coming out with such a great product!

### 2/5 — HELP!

*2018-02-09, version 2.71*

I purchased the wizard for my son. I have tried everything to get up to date/time of his location and it is NEVER updated to the correct time. Also, I live near the state lines of Arizona, California and Nevada however our home is in AZ and we DO NOT have a time change. Is there a way to disable the watch from switching time zones? The messages also do not work. I can send him messages but I do not receive his responses. PLEASE HELP!

### 3/5 — App Needs Updating

*2018-01-29, version 2.71*

I bought this watch for my daughter for Christmas. The concept is fantastic, the durability of the watch it’s self is pretty good. I did receive the watch under another company and it has the word Aberdeen on it but when I called support they assured me it was there watch so I let it be. My current issue is that every time you try to save a safe zone or danger zone the app crashes. I’ve been informed that this is due to a compatibility issue with the iPhone 7 and 7+ - this needs to be fixed ASAP. I also noticed that if you don’t use the call feature on the watch every 24 to 48 hours, it doesn’t automatically connect to Wi-Fi. When I tried to locate my daughter during a field trip last week, it displayed her device as off-line. It would not reconnect until I called myself from her watch when she got home.

### 2/5 — Not worth the money

*2018-01-08, version 2.71*

The watch is expensive and the text messaging does not work (parents can’t receive messages). Like the other review the ALERTS do not stop even when you turn them all off. Called for customer service and the receptionist said no one was available. The worst company ever. Looking to get a refund.

### 2/5 — “Removed device” notifications won’t stop

*2018-01-05, version 2.71*

Got this watch for my daughter for Christmas. Initially the app was awful but they have made improvements. My issue is I keep getting alerts saying “the device has been removed”. I’ve turned off that notification in settings but it won’t stop. I can be right next to her with her wearing the watch snuggly and I still get them. I’ve received over 100 notifications that the watch is off. PLEASE FOR THR LOVE OF GOD FIX THIS!!!!!

### 5/5 — Yes!!!

*2018-01-04, version 2.71*

Love the product works extremely well and my kids are in love. Thanks for everything!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Poor outdated app

*2021-09-14, version 4.0.4*

App freezes a lot. Settings are not saving. Is not working like it’s supposed to. I’m getting a notification every 30 seconds when I have them turned off. Waiting to hear back from igps to see if there is a fix but looking more and more like I’ll be returning the watch.

### 1/5 — Terrible

*2021-05-12, version 4.0.4*

This watch doesn’t work. The gps is wrong 99% of the time. If the GPS does work once thru out the day, it doesn’t update the location for days to follow. Dates/time are wrong.
The calling feature works 75% of the time. Gps will work if on WiFi but how silly is that? How does that help when your child isn’t home?

Do not recommend. Their office is located in Ft Myers. My son went there and his location didn’t update for hours. This watch will not be of any use if an emergency arose.

### 1/5 — Good idea but poor execution

*2020-01-22, version 3.26*

We really wanted this watch and app to work for us. We previously had a kids GPS watch from a foreign owned company and wanted to move to an American company for easier tech support. Unfortunately this watch and company were a disappointment.
- Waited two months for watch to be shipped after ordering.
- First watch broke after 12 days of use. Shipped watch back and received a replacement 1.5 weeks later.
- Second watch stopped working after 6 days of use. Contacted company to request a refund since our child no longer wanted to use it since it wasn’t reliable.
- Company let us know that refunds are only issued within 14 days of originally receiving product.
Our advice would be to not purchase the Wizard Watch. The iGPS app is also a disappointment when compared to the previous kids gps watch we used (Doki). No options for a class mode, watch always makes an audible noise when powered on (not allowed at our child’s school), slow to report safe zone changes and location in general, text messages sent in duplicate, can’t listen to audio messages if your ringer is off.

### 1/5 — Sad Christmas gift because of non working app

*2018-12-25, version 3.12*

This watch was our daughter’s BIG Christmas gift and the app that functions it must have lots of bugs. We can’t make calls, text or do anything the watch is supposed to do. All I get is an error message or spinning icon. I have deleted and reloaded nothing works. The company is closed so of course we can’t get help. After watching YouTube reviews this seems to be a common issue and should be corrected ASAP.

### 1/5 — App not compatible with iPad: Create Account

*2018-12-25, version 3.12*

Recently purchased the app for Christmas. Can not create an account on iPad (button goes no where) and there are no error messages. Cool idea but crash and burn on arrival.

### 1/5 — Still glitchy

*2018-09-17, version 3.01*

Updated: 09/17/2018- the app developers have addressed many of the prior problems I reported, but the software still causes erratic battery drain on our devices. Some days are great, and some days they shut off due to dead battery after 3-4 hours of wear, with no difference in use habits or physical location. They say the watches get stuck trying to contact a server, and it kills the battery. This has affected multiple devices across different days, and is evidently not a hardware problem.

SOS doesn’t work for us either, because the app can’t discern between a voice mail and a human answer, so it gives up after reaching voicemail of the first number. The tech support says there is no way to code the watch to hang up after a few rings and try the other numbers, so there is no fix for this. I tried setting up a google voice number to forward calls simultaneously to multiple numbers as a workaround, but when the watch calls my google voice, it doesn’t ring anywhere. Bottom line: this feature also not reliable.

There are still minor app interface problems, such as the pop-up window for each device (on the map page) having such small text I cannot read it; however, these issues are so small by comparison to the other problems.

The iPad version of the app (recently removed, according to developer) was not functional because the touch locations were not accurate on the screen.

Overall, on any device (iPhone or iPad), the technical support and online tutorial need to be updated. I received incorrect information directly from the video tutorial (minute 2:25) and technical support indicating that parent #2 should NOT need to be added as a trusted monitor because they are already in the SOS #2 field. However, this is inaccurate, because otherwise the second parent cannot use the app to message the child. Additionally, they have outdated information on the tutorial falsely advertising features they have removed. Features they advertise which no longer exist include: “BFF” for the kids to talk to each other without taking a trusted monitor contact space, “translate,” and “group chat.”

Finally, if multiple devices are the in the same location, the app drops pins on top of each other on the map, and doesn’t have a way to toggle between devices easily.

### 1/5 — Bad coding/ crashing on iOS

*2018-09-07, version 3.01*

Just started doing this ...

### 1/5 — Terrible Service

*2018-05-24, version 2.71*

I have three watches for my three daughters, not a single one works consistently. Customer service says to turn your iPhone off then on again, the app freezes & kicks you out. The last step I was told to do was to delete the app and re-download it. It’s useless to have to do this Every Day!!

I just tried to re download the app and now it kicks me out & does not let me login. This is useless and tech support needs to fix this.

### 1/5 — Awful app

*2017-12-24, version 2.52*

App crashes every time I try to create my account. Watch is useless without an account. App is the only way to set it up.

### 1/5 — Crashes

*2017-12-24*

Hope they update this. Can’t even set up an account without it crashing.
