Use the app to search for and reserve items in your library’s collection. With a book in hand you can scan the ISBN barcode and check whether your library has a copy. You can reserve materials and renew your loans. Besides that, the app supplies information on addresses and opening hours of all branches and you can phone or email them directly. Please note this app does not support all libraries. Check the website of your local library to see if the app supports it, if not, ask if it can be added. Re-installed a couple of times but now, it is not working anymore. ### 1/5 — Rubbish *2025-05-29, version 3.8.18* Was working ok until 6 months ago. Now app doesn’t even recognise the UK as a region (let alone allow me to select my home library). ### 2/5 — Incredibly glitchy *2025-01-26, version 3.8.12* Good when it works, which is hardly ever. Crashes constantly or says service unavailable! ### 1/5 — Not user friendly *2024-09-15, version 3.8.11* I have been unable to log in. This app has been bothersome for many months now. ### 1/5 — Not usable! *2024-07-30, version 3.8.11* It refuses to let me in. I put in my card number and PIN number correctly. It’s now been 2 weeks of not being allowed into my account. The last 2 updates did absolutely nothing to help resolve issues. ### 1/5 — No-context “password invalid” error *2024-01-29* Zero stars since I can’t even create a password. ### 1/5 — Temporarily unavailable - for months *2023-05-14, version 3.8.1* I am wondering if there is something to do with my phone not being compatible with this app but I downloaded it months ago and it was working, but now for about five months it has consistently said it’s temporarily unavailable every time I try to open the app. I’ve even tried deleting it and reinstalling but that doesn’t work. ### 4/5 — Good addition to Library services *2021-03-09, version 3.3.0* This App saves time when checking borrowing / reservations. Reserving new books and CD’s is also child’s play compared to online web access method. It’s been a boon during Covid lockdown period. ### 1/5 — Needs work *2021-02-14, version 3.3.0* This app was recommended for use by the library, I’m struggling to understand why.... A total waste of time. 1) No instructions of how to log on. Trial and error found that the User ID is your email address. (All I got from the county library when I joined online during lockdown was a compliment slip and a library card via the post). 2) To try and understand the point of the app a search of random authors names produced error messages for some authors, even though spelt correctly, I know my local library stocks their books, so why doesn’t it find all books? 3) No explaination of what the errors mean? 4) You only appear to be able to loan physical books from this app? So need other apps for other media available in the library. You used to be able to loan all these things from the library? Basically the app needs some instructions of how to use it, if the library is expecting users to manage their loans from it and recommending its use. From my point of view it just seems to provide addresses of county libraries and refers you to the libraries website. I can do that already without an app on my device.
