### 3/5 — “Update” removed “Unassigned Weights”

*2026-08-26*

I was happy with the app. Then an update occurred and the ability to assign an Unassigned Weight was removed.

I used the app regularly to track my weight loss. I am the only one in family who has the app on my phone but my son and grandkids use the scale periodically for weight only.

I made profiles for them and the app tracked them. Couple of times a week, their weight would be recorded but app didn’t know which profile to assign weight to so weight and date were listed as “Unassigned Data”. This unassigned weight would be tracked on my weight loss record which wasn’t good because it would show my 160 lb progress then their 105 lb record.

I could tap the unassigned weight to select it then tap “Assign” dropdown next to the weight and select the appropriate user profile. The app would then remove the weight from my history, assign it to the correct profile and my weight loss progress would be displayed properly.

I complained to their online tech support about this because the feature was removed sometime during one of their last updates. Their reply was “the SKU WIFI_SCALE does not show any reference to an Unassigned Data section. Based on the documentation available, I can’t confirm a way to restore that feature“.

So at least I can manually remove the unassigned weight.
Tech support is friendly, knowledgeable and prompt though.

**Developer response:** We're sorry the update took away Unassigned Weights - it was a useful way to keep your own record clean when family members hop on the scale. We're flagging it to the team as a feature to bring back. Email support@designhqs.com and we'll make sure you're updated on it.

### 2/5 — Latest update deleted all data

*2026-08-17, version 12.4*

App was working fine but after latest update most of the data is missing.

### 3/5 — “Fixed some bugs”

*2026-08-16, version 12.4*

Was one of the bugs tracking basic metabolic rate? Because now that’s broken.

### 3/5 — Since update app not working correctly

*2026-08-15, version 12.4*

It tells me I have 2.2lbs of bone mass - which is obviously wrong and all the others is incorrect- please fix it

### 2/5 — App keeps dropping data

*2026-08-15, version 12.4*

Getting this setup was a pain. It wouldn’t remember the profile info, it kept dropping the scale, every time I log into the app it is like I never logged in, my profile is there but no details and I have to enter everything again and then pair the scale again. Every. Time.

### 1/5 — Stopped working

*2026-08-15, version 12.4*

No help fixing issue

### 1/5 — Downgrade

*2026-08-15, version 12.4*

They downgrade the app at will if you don’t sign up for an iFit membership. I just wanted the scale. Now they have removed some things, and they have changed the appearance of the app so it is less appealing.

### 2/5 — Disappointed 🥺

*2026-08-15, version 12.4*

The thing I hate MOST about the app is the once a week it asks me I want to change over to face recognition. So I say yes as it’s always been that way. As soon as I say yes everything gets wiped off my screen. I have to put my setting back to lbs and the ONLY way to get my weight history back is to delete the app and reinstall it. YES! Every week I’m having to reinstall the app! I shouldn’t have e to do this!

### 1/5 — Updated the app, lost functionality

*2026-08-15, version 12.4*

I had an older version of the app an had better functionality. Now it’s not even accurate with fat measurements. Also give less data. They seem to be removing stuff to force you to their paid subscription.

### 1/5 — Unable to login after update

*2026-08-15, version 12.4*

App updated and historical data was gone. Logged out cannot log back in. I thought maybe I forgot forgot the password so I tried to reset the password and it says my email address is no good. I only have one email address so I know I have the right one.

### 1/5 — Poor quality.

*2026-08-15, version 12.4*

Firstly the app jumps between selected and default measurements. Changing goals from say 180 lbs goal to 389 when you try and switch it back.

Took measurements a few days apart it claimed I dropped 1.9 pounds but it also stated I dropped a total of 4 pounds between far muscle water and bone mass. Where did the other two pounds end up?

Overall disappointing product. I’m sure there’s better on the market I’d keep looking - I intend to

### 1/5 — App broke August 12

*2026-08-14, version 12.3*

The app no longer works properly. The front dashboard now is erased every time you open the app. All previous data is gone. Only the historical graphs work but no way to see before August 12 2026. It’s like they accidentally erased everything with a new UI update sometime this August. Absolutely unusable.

### 3/5 — Meh

*2026-08-14, version 12.3*

App keeps crashing after most recent update.

Also lost previous data.

### 1/5 — Update ruined app

*2026-08-14*

All of a sudden I go to weigh myself and my measurements are definitely not right. The measurements are not even close to what they have been the past few days. It says like I have muscle mass of 8.6lbs when previously I had close to 100lbs muscle mass and so on. Fix your dang app. Furthermore I would like to cancel membership but there is no option to cancel membership. So after this recent update, when I go to weigh myself it says my muscle mass is 8.6lbs meanwhile before I would get consistent measurements of way way way more than that, and its measurements on other readings are by far from anywhere close to accurate. How and why did the app go from reading measurements that seemed to be accurate to being extremely broken measurements?

**Developer response:** We’re sorry the update caused body-composition measurements to display incorrectly. We identified and fixed the major bug behind this issue. Please update to the latest version and try again. For any remaining measurement or subscription issue, email admin@designhqs.com so we can help.

### 3/5 — Version 12.3 Added Bugs

*2026-08-14, version 12.3*

Prior to 12.3 release, the app properly activated the primary profile, loading the prior weigh in information. It now displays the primary profile name, and will associate a weigh in to that profile but will not load prior weigh in without selecting it from the profile list. There seems to be a space between the name and “(Primary)” that is removed after choosing the name from the profile list.

Obesity level is not updating at the top of the screen (always says “Normal” but does update in the Obesity level field.

Physical age is not updating. It says 0.

### 1/5 — This new update sucks

*2026-08-14, version 12.3*

They just released a new update and it got rid of all my prior information I had. It doesn’t even measure the same. Pretty sure the update broke the app. Revert all changes please!!

### 1/5 — Update on 8/14/26 broke the app

*2026-08-14, version 12.3*

The newest app update is completely broken. It says my fat weight and muscle weight are each 9 lb, my bone weight is 2 lbs, and my water weight is over 100 lbs. I weigh 180 lbs. At this point it’s just a dumb scale as the smart scale features are unusable.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Poorly done

*2026-09-02*

The scale I purchased worked pretty good, the problem is this app. There are a handful of issues but I will concentrate in the biggest for me. When I step the scale, all the measurements are taken and sent to the app. It shows me my BMI, Muscle Mass, Muscle Mass, Fat Weight, and so on—16 different measurements. Nice! But here is where my major problem begins. Once I take a new measurement, the previous measurement is deleted, gone. If I click on the clock icon at the bottom, it shows me a chart, for the past 7 days, 30 days, and 90 days. First, 90 days is not ling enough. The app I used for my last scale let me go back years. But my biggest beef with this app is that the scale is pretty basic and not all the measurements are there. There is only charts for 5 measurements. That is it! Like I said before, there is no way of clicking on a date (it shows you a list of dates at the bottom) and looking at all the measurements for that reading. Lousy, just lousy! 11 out of the 16 measurements are gone for good. So if I want to see what my subcutaneous fat was 3 o 5 months ago, or even last week or any other time except for the last measurement, there is no way of doing that. In essence, this app is pretty useless. If you want to save all the measurements, take a screen shot and save it in your phones Gallery app. I think that I will give my scale away or throw it sway and buy me one that doesn’t use this app. This app lacks so many features that it makes the developers look lazy and uncaring. Either that or they don’t put much effort, lack creativity, or just the app is juts a sales pitch printed on the scale’s box to get your attention at the store.

**Developer response:** We're sorry your previous measurement disappears when a new one comes in - your history should never be erased. Please make sure you're on the latest version of the app, then email support@designhqs.com with your scale model so we can investigate and restore what we can.

### 1/5 — Removing features!

*2026-08-31*

When I purchased this scale it tracked all my data—sub q fat %, basal metabolic rate, etc. and did a great job compared to the pod at my gym. Since they’ve added ai features behind a pay wall they are gate keeping MY information on a device I already own. Just buy the pod.

So after I submitted this they reached out to me, implemented the list features and asked me if I’d like to change my review of their product. When I did not, they removed all the data again. I didn’t buy a scale to have these idiots in my home adjusting my purchased products. I feel like I’m being spied on, it’s so ridiculous. Just put out a new product that features your new ai feature and leave the older models alone. You shouldn’t be taking away features I acquired when I purchased the product. This is shady as hell.

**Developer response:** We’re sorry the recent changes made features you previously used feel unavailable. We appreciate this feedback. Please contact customer support at admin@designhqs.com so we can clarify what is included and assist.

### 1/5 — WARNING. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME SND MONEY!

*2026-08-18, version 12.4*

No help fixing issue. This is the absolutely worst and useless fitness app I have tried. Their biometric interface gives incorrect data and even no data. It’s a joke. Easier and more accurate scales and apps are much better. By the way/ there is not a free version that you can reliably use. They lock you out of free version and make it unable to be used unless you pay. In a week have had 20-30 emails that helped with nothing. It’s just AI which doesn’t correct anything. They keep sending emails claiming errors with interface are fixed but it isn’t and won’t be. Do not waste your money on this app! What a joke of a product.

### 1/5 — Not helpful

*2026-08-17, version 12.4*

Tried deleting account it fails and doesn’t delete my data.

### 1/5 — Bad App

*2026-08-17, version 12.4*

I bought one as the IHome specifically for the purpose of adding app to my phone, but app will not allow you to set up an account.

### 1/5 — Horrible product and worst customer service

*2026-08-16, version 12.4*

I addressed my issue in detail and sent the model number for the product but at the end I am dealing with an AI that gives the same answer for every question. The product, the application, and the customer service is a zero star.

### 1/5 — Removing features!

*2026-08-16, version 12.4*

When I purchased this scale it tracked all my data—sub q fat %, basal metabolic rate, etc. and did a great job compared to the pod at my gym. Since they’ve added ai features behind a pay wall they are gate keeping MY information on a device I already own. Just buy the pod.

### 1/5 — Does not give option to create new account

*2026-08-16, version 12.4*

Downloaded the app and it asks for email address and password. This is the first time using the app and it says user name invalid - of course it is - I’m a new user. There is no option to create a new account. Worthless!

### 1/5 — Issues with updates

*2026-08-15, version 12.4*

App was great before the last 2 updates. Missing multiple data points & most are just plain wrong. There are also fewer data points on the trends page. The updates also erased goals & other data. Updates shouldn’t be released with so many bugs & without thorough testing. I now don’t know if I can trust anything the app tells me & I will probably return the scale & get 1 with better reviews. I guess you do get what you pay for 🤷‍♂️

### 1/5 — Collins

*2026-08-15, version 12.4*

My data disappeared

### 5/5 — iHome scale

*2026-08-16, version 12.4*

This was a Christmas gift that came at a good time in my fitness journey. The data from this scale has helped me keep track and lose weight. It transfers the data with my Apple Smart Watch. With the help of the data from this scale I can see what methods of losing weight and fitness work for me. I have been able to lose over 70 pounds and keep it off.

### 5/5 — Not Happy

*2026-07-31, version 12.1*

The scale doesn’t work the weight doesn’t change with app I delete app then reinstall the app then Bluetooth wouldn’t connect to the scale. So just delete app

### 5/5 — Day one

*2026-07-02, version 11*
