It came with a remote and the sleep option had the music fade out before it cut off. But the LED eventually died and the support team didn’t offer any repair options. So, I bought a new one. No remote. And the music just cuts off without fading out. Latest thing, the app (iHome+Sleep) stopped working, so I deleted it and tried to download it again. But now it’s showing “not available in my country/region”. So, I tried iHome Set, which offers considerably less than the iHome+Sleep option. With the old app, I could set multiple alarms by day (not just weekend, weekdays, etc) and set my sleep and wake music from the Apple Music App. No more. Instead of improvements, SDI takes the best features and eliminates them. Initially it worked great with setting time and the alarms. I replaced my old clock radio with a new one a couple years ago. It hasn’t worked well at all. For instance, clock has two alarms, app only displays one for setting. And it didn’t work all the time. Looking at the app I see it hasn’t been updated in a year. That update didn’t fix the issues I was having. The company simply doesn’t care. If you are looking at the hardware and want to know if you should buy it, don’t. Stay away. It’s expensive and they don’t support it. Update: DO NOT BUY iHome products! They don’t support them. As of this writing 12/13/20, this app hasn’t been updated in FOUR YEARS. Still have issues with the app not working with their products. They are a crap company with crap IT development. The reason you buy their products is the TECHNOLOGY! Maybe the functionality depends on the model you have. But it works great with my IDL46. It's much faster and easier than having to adjust all the settings using just the clock. ### 4/5 — Pretty useful. *2024-05-09, version 1.2* So if I use the dock function as alarm, I suppose the alarm would just play from my Music app. I woke up to white-noise static for some reason this morning from the dock setting. This app might be my solution as an interface for the 12 to the iHome+Radio. I assume the firmware will update itself on the iHome Set, so hopefully I shouldn’t have any issues like the one I had this morning. Otherwise, I’m pretty happy with the sound quality from the iHome+Radio. Thanks to Bluetooth, I’ve even managed to use a keyboard as a remote & that alone is a brilliant convenience, although probably not as often considered. ### 4/5 — Not bad for an old app *2022-10-23, version 1.2* I have an old ihome IW1 and despite it’s age, it works amazing. Even better, it works with the app still on an iphone 13 pro! It took about an hour to finally get everything set up and working, but now whenever i get home and connect to wifi, i can play music without touching the speaker. The main issue with the app isn’t the app, it’s most likely the dated devices people try to use with the app. There’s a very limited selection of things you can do with the app depending on what device is connected, but it gets the job it was made for done and you can’t ask much more than that. 4 stars for having an app that does what it’s supposed to do despite 5+ yrs of no support!! ### 4/5 — Works as described *2017-11-13, version 1.2* I downloaded the app to adjust some of the harder to find settings on my iHome clock radio dock station. This worked perfectly and was easy to figure out. I would add a star if I could adjust the settings while holding the iPhone and commit them when docking, and I would add two stars (making six!) if I could connect remotely using another iPhone. ### 4/5 — Still works *2017-03-12* This app is simple. It helps you set the clock settings on your iHome brand products. NOTE that the app only appears to do something when you dock it to the clock. I just replaced the kids' old 30-pin connector iHome clocks with the Lightning connected models (got one for me, too) and we use this app whenever the time changes or the power goes out. It has other functionalities such as letting you adjust the clock's dimmer, radio volume, etc. (if your clock has those functions), but we only use the time adjustment feature.
