It is OK but has some shortcomings that would make me reconsider buying this system again. The app does not always show up in the App Store for iPhone or iPads. It only appeared when searching the China apps, and even then it cannot always be found. That makes setting up the system on a new device challenging at times. We use the app instead of the receiver almost all the time . The video quality of the app is substantially better than the receiver’s monitor. The video quality of the receiver is so poor that it is almost pointless except we were told it was not possible to bypass the receiver and just use the app with a separate DVR. The inability to access the menu or to toggle between channels when viewing in landscape mode is a significant flaw and there doesn’t seem to be any to view the cameras on a laptop.
