If you slide a single blind to say 50% it also changes the position of the other blinds by a small amount. By it, I mean the app. The app just won’t open. I click it, the screen of my iPhone flickers and nothing happens. App is up to date. Very frustrating because now I can’t control any of my devices. Haven’t been able to find anything online to solve this issue. My setup is quite reliable with Apple HomeKit. The app is horrible and the fact the store doesn’t make it clear which smart items work together is ridiculous. You try to buy a light and $120 later you’re still missing some part of the system. Tried resetting, now finally it just won’t even “verify the code”. Can’t connect to any lights. Moved to a new house, a had the terrible idea of buying the same lights to the whole house. Remotes are now square and I cannot get them to pair with the hub, its an absolute nightmare although I am following strict guidance as per app. Tried to connect some lights without remote..some work , some dont regardles of how much time you waste on this. Its just not worth the hassle. Other companies sell their products at the same price point and make it straightforward, doesnt have to be rocket science. Gateway, bulbs, remotes and motion sensors all stopped working. Don’t even see them in their App. Not able to configure Gateway module. This is not fair on ikea part. After investing so much on ikea devices they stopped selling these products and also stopped wireless connectivity. ### 1/5 — DO NOT BUY IKEA SMART PRODUCTS!!!! *2025-12-03, version 1.28.2* They are garbage quality and an immense amount of work to get setup and configured. The app is garbage too. I can no longer control any of my smart blinds through the app and the automations have stopped working. Yet, I'm still able to control the blinds with the remotes. Makes no sense. Bulbs don’t pair, clicking on/off buttons to turn off the bulbs don’t work half of the time, changing colour temperature doesn’t work half of the time, I have good WiFi there’s no reason for these functions to behave like that. I’m spoiled! Very easy to add additional lights. They seem to have sorted out the earlier issues. We use the ikea app to control our lights and blinds and to occasionally set up some timers. We appreciate that it only works with the app while your on your home wifi. It reduces the hacking potential.
